It’s a lovely family owned accommodation, newly renovated and very clean. Shinada and his wife take pride in ensuring that the place is presentable and comfortable for the guests. The rooms were modern and welcoming; it feels as though we were being invited to experience their quaint Japanese home. Very nice. Dinner was complimentary at the Mizunoto restaurant with our stay. We had several options for the set meals, including sashimi set, tempura set and unagi set. Having dinner at the restaurant was great for our group too; As many nearby eating places are closed in the evening, it provided certainty for our dinner plan, so that’s a big plus point for us. The set meals were delicious and satisfying, made even better with the sake-food pairing recommendations. The restaurant has a good selection of the local sake available. Shinada personally served and attended to our group, taking time to share local knowledge and the selection of local sake. Great service. Overall, a comfortable stay and a great experience staying there. Highly recommended.

This is a budget hotel, and you should take this in to account when planning your trip. However, the value for money of this place was excellent. They allowed us an early check-in free of charge due to the terrible weather outside, and provided everything we needed to make our stay in Amanohashidate a great one. We loved the place! The staff were friendly, and the location so close to the train station really couldn't be better. Access to the onsen next door was a great bonus.

The apartment is excellent. Very spacious and well-designed. Comfortable rooms on the second floor (1bedroom with 2 traditional tatami beds & the other room with 2 single beds for our family of 2A2C). There is another extra study room which could accommodate a larger family. Nespresso machines and lots of coffee capsules provided. Location is very near to a mega supermarket. Host is very friendly and helpful. Free parking available opposite the property.

The Hotel has lovely views of the bay and a fabulous sunset view. With a rental car, it is a convenient base to explore Amanohashidate, Ine and some of the Fukui prefecture areas of Wakasa and Obama for the lovely beaches. We selected the renovated twin room and it was clean, spacious and we slept comfortably. The eco-cleaning of towel replacement and trash removal met our needs for a 2-night stay. Reception was pleasant and we enjoyed visiting the onsen which was well maintained.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Amanohashidate; 3 mins walk to the train station, 4 mins to the closest convenience store, and 5 mins to the water. Staff were very attentive and accommodating; room was very large mixed Japanese/ Western style, with an excellent view of the water. Breakfast buffet was solid, and I would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at this new modern little apartment with views over the water. The spa on the upstairs balcony and lovely little downstairs deck to capture the morning sun were fabulous. Plenty of kitchen facilities to allow us to cook our own meals. Super comfy beds for Japan standards, offering a nice view out over the water. The apartment was in a handy location to town and easy to walk to the Amanohashidate island walk.

This is a really nice hotel. It is a great location - a bus to Amanohashidate and the sand-spit viewing platforms is just 3 or 4 minutes walk away. The hotel is very clean, staff are extremely friendly, the bedroom is large by Japanese standards and is very clean too and comfortable. the bed is wonderful! The public room is nice and coffee is available all day. Plenty of restaurants nearby. It is 15 minutes walk for the station, or a short taxi ride

This guesthouse is a breath of fresh air as a change to bland hotel rooms - its an old-style house stay. It is very chill, quiet (only woken by the sound of birds by the river) and spacious (we had the room with 5 beds and living area). There is a fully equipped kitchen you can use, bathroom for guests, 5 minutes stroll to restaurants, and 20 mins to Amanohashidate resort by boat, bus or train. The owner ‘granny’ is a great character who could handle my poor Japanese/sign language and made us feel very welcome.

Our room has an excellent view just by the shore. Room was huge, with both Japanese and western area and the hot spring bath inside the room is excellent for my travel partner who is not comfortable using the public hot spring facilities. The two meals included were decadent, with lots of courses. Staff was friendly, attentive and the Japanese staff can communicate adequately in English. They do have a few foreign workers in the staff which speaks better English also. Location of hotel is just a 4 minutes walk from Amanohashidate Station.

The room is quite comfy and the hostel is near the one end of Amanohashidate where you can get on the ferry or rent a bicycle to get to the other end. There are both Western-style and Japanese-style toilets, as well as shower for those who do not fancy joining the public bath. Probably best suitable for a group of friends.

A superb hotel. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great being next to the train/bus station and on the doorstep of the amanohashidate isthmus. It was good value for money when you're looking to spend a bit more as there aren't too many hostels in the area. You get to use the really fancy onsen at the hotel next door too which is awesome. Getting to use a traditional yukata too which is a fun way of connecting with the culture.

Clearly one of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Japan. Very cute traditional Japanese rooms and beautiful views, big rooms, nice onsen, that I could use after hours because of my tattoos (They’re very agreeable). Close to Ine fishing village, the téléphérique and Amanohashidate! Also the staff is literally the nicest people on earth!
