The location is perfect for train travellers as the hotel sits within Kyoto Station. There is no need to be outside when boarding or getting of any train that uses Kyoto Station. Also there are plenty of shops travellers need just outside the entry door, all under cover, within the complex in fact. They have a decent breakfast at a reasonable cost. It can only be used by hotel occupants. It is half anglo and half Japanese, self-service only but well laid out

I absolutely love my room at the Hotel Tou Nishinotoin Kyoto. The interior features a beautiful blend of traditional and modern Japanese architecture. The staff is incredibly friendly; they took the time to explain the various facilities available and always greet you whenever you enter or exit the hotel. Plus, the location is convenient, just a 10 to 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station, making it easy to explore Kyoto.

You may be told that hotel room sizes in Japan are generally small. This was not so at the Blossum. They were a spacious size, separate rest room. The hotel was one stop away from the main Kyoto station, a 17 minute walk if you must however.

Hotel IL Verdo was a lovely place to stay the rooms were quite large for a Japanese Hotel the staff were friendly the beds were really comfortable. Location was an easy 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station & it was very quiet so a bonus. The Shoisen en Gardens are right across the road from the Hotel a must to see. A quick walk you will find some gorgeous little Japanese shops & the Buddhist Temple which had handmade markets out the front. We really enjoyed out stay & dont forget the free 1 hour of drinks!!!!

Ryokan Ryokufuso was brilliant; it exceeded expectations. The perfect blend of beautiful traditional Japanese tatami rooms with modern hotel amenities. The staff were so warm and friendly (we appreciated the lesson in putting on the yukata!), and it was amazing to have a 24-hour reception and to be able to drop the key at the front desk when we went out. The onset was terrific, the hotel was top-notch in general, and it was an easy walk from Kyoto station. We'll be back!

Stay SAKURA Kyoto Station Shichijo was an average but acceptable stay. The room was clean and the size was reasonably comfortable, especially compared to many hotel rooms in Japan. The location was convenient enough, though not as convenient as we had hoped. Overall, it was fine for a short stay, but nothing particularly memorable. I would rate it 3/5.

The hotel is in an excellent location, within a few minutes walking distance of Kyoto station. The staff are exceptionally professional and helpful. The room was beautifully presented, with everything we needed. Breakfast was exceptional. We opted for the Japanese style breakfast from the buffet, but there was plenty of options to suit everyone’s taste. I would definitely stay again.
