“The room with a dead center view of the canal is breath taking. The beds were firm with very nice bedding and a bathtub for my before dinner bubble baths-heavenly! We left the French doors open to hear the birds and the little bit of early morning bustle, Sete has beautiful views and lots of restaurants and shops, it is a working seaport so you feel part of that. The hotel is located for you to walk about. Breakfast was well worth it, and great coffee.”

We did not have a car, but the local Number 5 bus took us down into Sete and back up again, so it was not an issue. Anyway, the walk up those stairs is great and the view is spectacular! Sabrina is lovely and spoilt us with unexpected treats and we were very grateful for her husband's lift to the train station when we left. So very helpful and thoughtful. Staying at Le Lodge was one of the highlights of our 9 weeks away, certainly the best accommodation we stayed in.”

“Sandrine was a delight and extremely accommodating. She allowed us to arrive earlier than usual and was friendly, chatty and helpful. Sandrine and her husband own an amazing boat and are incredibly brave and trusting to invite people to stay, on what is essentially, their home. As you would imagine, there is not the usual amount of space but the beds were clean and comfortable, as was the whole boat. Breakfast was huge with everything you could ask for - bread, pastries, fruit, coffee, yogurts and delicious homemade jam. Sandrine even left us some wine and beers which we enjoyed on the deck in the evening, overlooking the beautiful port and hills of Sete.”
