«The hotel is situated in a mountainous area close to Pontremoli. It’s a lovely place to stay with comfy and nicely decorated rooms and a balcony with amazing views. The restaurant serves delicious dishes and if you order the charbonnade you can grill the meat yourself. Breakfast consists of healthy and homemade items and contrary to most other hotels in Italy they also have ham and cheese. The owner is very, very kind and professional. As we are walking the Via Francigena he printed a map so that we could return to the road. If you would like to reach the hotel and you don’t like hiking you definitely need a car to get you there because it’s located uphill.
