Clean room, comfortable bed, AC worked okay, good water pressure/hot water in the bathroom. Great breakfast.

Set in a 19th-century building, this charming hotel features beautiful colonial décor. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was super sweet. The rooms were clean and very nice, comfortable bed. The location of this hotel is perfect, in the middle of everything and easy excess to everything.

Set in a 19-century restored colonial mansion in Ouro Preto, the beautiful Solar de Maria features adult and children pools, table tennis, a gym and a TV-room with fireplace. Outstanding crew. An historical building. We had a nice and cozy room with an explendid view. The pool is tiny but was the first pool in the entire city and is protected by historical authorities. No changes can be made. The owners are always present and offers anyone all the attention needed. It is a catholic enviroment but no proselytism. Just an historical situation. Any denominations will be at home and feel confortable. Breakfast is included in hotel rate with huge variety of local products. There is a parking lot. Two water streams runs on both sides of the building and the hotel is Eco friendly. Sometimes we thought it was raining but it was just the water stream's sounds. Funny. Turned out it was like a lullaby. We loved to stay there. I recommend this hotel. As an historical building there are limitations in soudproofing. But, in my experience, guest's politeness is what makes the diference.

Designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer, Grande Hotel Ouro Preto stands out for the great location, nearby the main attractions of Ouro Preto. Amazing architectural masterpiece in Ouro Preto. The hotel is great to wander around and the views from everywhere across the small city are great. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Some speak English, some do not, but that doesn’t matter as we always for there in the end. The hotel is incredibly clean. The workers are constantly cleaning and maintaining the hotel. The small swimming pool out front isn’t heated, but it wasn’t too cold, although I didn’t have time for a swim as I was busy exploring. The small apartment I had included a balcony with a stunning view across the city with a bedroom looking over the well kept gardens at the rear. It was great to wake up and listen to the birds and watch the clouds / mist drop over the mountainside. The hotel is close to some great restaurants in town.

This beautiful colonial hotel features 2 rooftop pools, one is heated with a tub inside and the other one is with natural water. staff was excellent! friendly and very helpful. made us feel like we were at home. location excellent. have parking. restaurant good. breakfast great

In a restored colonial mansion, Hotel Luxor offers a taste of the 18th century, with rooms featuring a décor inspired in that era. They offer beautiful views of Ouro Preto´s churches. The colonial style. It is not luxurious but it did have its charm. It had an excellent bed, excellent linen. Bathroom was good. Pretty good breakfast. Remember this hotel is small and more like a boutique style. True to the local culture.
