Holiday Inn Express Mexico Basilica is located in Mexico City. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and flat screen TV. The location is good, there are lots of shops nearby. It's a bit of a drive to get into the central area but the upside is it's close to the airport and the neighborhood has plenty of shops. The gym was great, one of the larger gym spaces I've seen and all the equipment including free weights are high quality. They have a cable machine, cardio, a rower. And I found the gym was empty during the day and usually only a couple of other guests in the morning or evening. You could spend hours in the gym without seeing anyone else! It's a great way to get in shape. The quality of the bedding was excellent. High quality mattress, nice sheets, and the some of the best pillows I've seen. Very large and firm pillows. It made for a great sleep. I found all the staff friendly and professional. The cleaning staff was easy to deal with, because I was often in the room working during the day they would schedule when to do the cleaning and always made sure it was done while I was out.

The location was good, not far from the underground train network. The train went straight to the airport. Which was handy.

The host was very good with communication. The kitchen had the right amount of equipment to support us being able to cook and eat what we like. On Wednesdays the area has their little weekly market just a block or so. So you could pick up any fresh fruits or vegetables, beans, bread, and variety of different foods to choose from that were pre-made as well as local food. Both bedrooms for accommodating for rest and quiet. It's nice to have two bathrooms. The host made a wonderful detail book answering any questions person might have ever helped the apartment or things to do. There are plenty of workout parks nearby if you choose to do a workout clothes. Also there's a Planet Fitness and the Walmart and on another large supermarket called Soriana. So if you have dietary needs that need to be accommodated either one of these places can accommodate clearly or dairy-free along with an organic or vegetarian life stuff. In some ways honestly better than a lot of places.
