Location location location. The staff were amazingly friendly and so so helpful. They even helped me securely park my motorcycle. There is a lift to the bedroom floors. The room was brilliant with fridge, microwave and cutlery. I will stay here again. One thing you must know; it's in the city center, it has abar courtyard outside your room. Its noisy till around 0100. Don't go there if you want a quiet night. I slept fine with ear plugs in. The owners looks after their guests. Certainly a lovely couple.

Our weekend at Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk was simply delightful! From the warm welcome to the thoughtful amenities. The room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, providing the perfect retreat after exploring Groningen. Our puppy was overjoyed to find a ball waiting for him in the room—a thoughtful touch that made his tail wag with excitement. The food selection at the hotel's restaurant was broad, and the meals were delicious. The staff were exceptionally attentive, making our stay truly special. Can't wait to return!

The hotel is in a very good location. It has its own face. Clean and comfortable room was rather big. Very friendly personal! We are grateful to manager Daniel, who helped us to stay longer in Groningen.

The property lies on the outskirts of Groningen downtown however city center it is very well reachable by a short walk and even better with a bike that you can rent on the spot. We stayed in a tent and it was interesting to be woken up by a peacock sitting at the tent entrance early in the morning. The ambience was quite relaxing and offers an extraordinary experience feeling like an oasis in a desert. We figured we should visit this place every now and then to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
