The room was very nice; sparkling clean, spacious and it had a little private balcony. The continental breakfast was delicious with a combination of fresh aliments. Highly recommend getting the dinner menu at the restaurant; great food, amazing wine and excellent service. Happy we decided to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday in this place. It was a lovely experience; Carlos and the Staff were extraordinary and helped with all the arrangements. Couldn’t have wished for better!

The Casa (Quinta) is amazing and first-rate. It brings out the best of traditional Portugal with a keen eye and capacity to the modern luxury traveler who wants something a bit different and unique. The grounds, rooms, main house, dining, service, and friendliness of the owners and staff was superb. This was a gem that we will return to again!

the house is absolutely amazing! very spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, a fancy dining room, a billiard table, and more. Everything is new and clean. The owners are warm and kind and were very responsive to everything we needed. The children loved the swimming pool. The view is spectacular, with green vines all around. Very quiet and peaceful. The supermarket is 15 mins drive. We could stay there for a whole week.

Quinta de Travassinhos is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and get away from the world. The room was lovely, a huge shower, clean + incredibly comfortable beds. The pool area is stunning with an amazing view. The staff could not have been kinder, more helpful or made our stay any better. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided a delicious three course dinner for 30 euros and went out of their way to book things for us. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them and we could not recommend this place more.

Quinta de Santa Julia is an enchanting place. A fairytale forest greets you and opens up to the most exceptional view of the Douro valley. The 17th century villa, breathtaking views, and amazing infinity pool are not to be missed. Eduardo was charming and generous, the family history, tour, and port was an unforgettable experience. There’s no place like this in the world!

We had a fabulous time and only wish that we could have stayed longer. Besides a tasty breakfast, we enjoyed a delicious supper that included vegetables produced on the property. The staff very kindly prepared both meals gluten free, which we so appreciated. The old-style decor of the guest house is charming and interesting. Our evening walk through the terraced fields of the property caught gorgeous views of the Douro valley as well as the setting sun. The staff of the guest house were welcoming, friendly and attentive.

the breakfast was amazing. I did not think it was included and yet we were served a full breakfast. Delicious and excellent service. the location was beautiful. the vineyards were spectacular and the location quiet.
