Spotless and well equipped! Plenty of space in the rooms and a great communal kitchen space where we were able to cook our meals in the evening. It’s a short drive from Reykjavík or Keflavik if you’re traveling on from the airport. And close to all the highlights in the beautiful South. There were lovely horses, chickens, and dogs who were very friendly and welcoming! Horse riding was amazing, would definitely recommend.

Set on a traditional Icelandic farm, Setberg Guesthouse is located outside of Höfn, a 14-minute drive from the seaside village centre. All the facilities looked new and clean (even though the host has been running the guest house for six years!). There were 2 showers and three toilets for four rooms, so almost private. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cooking. The host was friendly and helpful. The view was amazing!

The apartments are located in two cabins on the property of a beautiful farm. The size was perfect for our family of seven. Despite the wind and chill outside, the temperature was perfect inside. We got to see the aurora from the porch at night, and the gorgeous green fields and mountains all around us in the daylight. There are some amazing canyons and waterfalls very near this location, as well as the south coast and golden circle sites.

Surrounded by the continuous landscape of South Iceland, Skammidalur Guesthouse offers accommodation only 7 km from Vík. You can view Reynisdrangar, Reynisfjall and Dyrhólaey from the property. Very spacious bedrooms with sitting area. Basic breakfast was available. Very nice view from our room
