It was during the Yosaikan Festival and this place away from Sapporo city centre, didn't expect anything as only need a place to stay for 1 night and it turned out it was a very pleasant stay and unexpected. Breakfast simple but good. Thank you Michiko!

1. Friendly, helpful and attentive owner. Shimpei-san and his friend are wonderful. Upon arrival, they offer to help carry my bag up the stairs. And when they see me not wearing enough layers for the cold weather, they very kindly lend me a jacket/windbreaker for the duration of my stays which I am very grateful for :) shimpei-san speaks excellent English and I enjoy being able to talk to him without having to use translator. 2. Quiet and peaceful. Well maintained and kept very clean. 3. Value for money. Very reasonable price for private room. Although the toilet and shower is shared, I never have to wait to use it during my stay. Towel is provided without charge, and you can get a fresh one if you want to as well. Power point in the room is located near the bed. The sliding door to the room closed with very minimum noise. 4. First place I stayed where sanitary pad is provided in women's toilet. A very thoughtful and unexpected amenity.

Yoshi is an amazing host , she makes your feel like home and she is so friendly. it makes a difference when you travelling for a long time. i will be back for sure just to meet her again ! the place is near the train station and the guest house have also a bar where you can meet nice people for a drink !

Mr. Kudo is super attentive, and we had some great conversations, plus he gave me some recommendations for sight-seeing to squeeze a bit more out of my last day. The room is very nice for the price, everything you need and no more, understanding that you're gonna be sharing the space with other travelers (plus hanging out over breakfast is very nice). Well-connected thanks to the streetcar, which makes it only 20 minutes to the city center. I genuinely only had positive experiences with this guest house, and the "negative points" are just nitpicks.

The supportive, laid back, interesting and informative staff made every possible arrangement to meet my needs and desires, with great attention to detail, every facet is carefully considered and well arranged in the house's fitting layout and design. Also located well centrally, walking distance from local attractions and public transport options. The generous breakfast offering was appreciated as well as their patience when I was delayed. They even have complimentary chocolates, biscuits and face wash! Overall a very comfortable stay, well run by a very sweet couple.

Recently renovated apartment, which was also cleaned very well. Very good location walking distance from the Otaru Park and Susikino (Snow Festival locations). The dining/kitchen area is spacious and well equipped. Very nice hosts - they managed to arrange early check-in for us and communication was excellent.

The owner gave us lots of snacks for free, including freshly baked goods and very expensive fruits. They gave us recommendations and were very kind to us. There are plenty of accommodations and the apartment is spacious and clean. I highly recommend staying here, we felt very welcome and would happily book again.
