Just 10 miles from Liverpool Football Club, Gateway Lodge Guest House is a 20-minute drive from the famous Albert Dock. Hunts Cross Railway Station is within a 20-minute walk. Perfect, value for money and location beats any of those big chain hotels/motels near the airport It is also super quiet. We could sleep with open windows!!! We stayed in several places during the 10 days preceding the Gateway Lodge. None of those could compare to the quality of the Lodge.

The Bowden Lodge is located in Southport, 1.5 km from Southport Beach, 26 km from Aintree Racecourse, and 32 km from Anfield Stadium. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The guest house features family rooms. Could not have been better. Very clean, good order, super friendly, excellent breakfast, free WiFi and free parking, all within walking distance to town centre. Simply marvellous!

The Norwood Guest House is situated just 10 minutes’ walk from the Grade II listed Southport Pier and Southport beach. Free private parking is available, and guests can be escorted by staff to the best golf courses in the area. We absolutely loved our stay at The Norwood. Valentina and Richard were so welcoming and helpful. The room was so comfortable and spotless. It is a short walk to lots of pubs and restaurants. We had fabulous meals in restaurants recommended by Richard and have lots of tips for our next trip. We would recommend The Norwood to anyone and will certainly be going back.

Kirkdale Railway Station is within a 10-minute walk and has regular services to Liverpool city centre. There is a bus stop within a 5-minute walk and staff can provide transport timetables and directions. Atmosphere, clean room, readiness to help by the owner in each area.

Free WiFi is provided and limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gary and Shirley couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable - friendly and always willing to do anything necessary to ensure our comfort but also with a sensible set of rules and requests to ensure all guests respected each other's stay - a real gem of a place which I would gladly recommend to anyone visiting Southport - the omelette Gary makes is legendary 😋
