This Posh Pads place was PERFECT. The staff at the refection desk could NOT have been more helpful AND they are available 24/7. The rooms were clean and GORGEOUS and decorated very well. Spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware and teabags/coffee and milk etc., The beds were very comfortable. The rooms did get warm but the reception staff brought up fans for us to help circulate the air and try to cool it down. This place isn't too far from anywhere - a lovely 15 minute slow walk to the cathedral, and plenty of local bars and restaurants too. The reception called us taxis whenever we needed to grab one although it's only a 10 minute walk from the train station. I'd HIGHLY recommend this lace if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Liverpool.

The apartment was fantastic, super modern, nice tv, sofa, 4 seater table, big kitchen, clean bathroom and nice little balcony. Location is walking distance to the town center and set in a nice quiet zone. It had some mixed reviews before but no question 10/10 will stay again next time I visit the city.

Liverpool has come a long way in the past decade as far as bars/restaurants and nightlife goes. It has fantastic choice for accommodation and hospitality venues. It feels much safer than it did in the past and the people are very welcoming. It's very easily walkable too so not much need for taxis/buses when staying around the city centre.

We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective than 2 nights in similar accommodation in Liverpool. We were down for the Everton Man City game. Unfortunately neither of us drive and as buses don't Service the hotel at the weekend meant we had to rely on taxis. For anyone who drives the location is not a problem though. Visited a few of the local hostelries. Copperpot, Derby Arms and Vikings Landing all were very friendly places with good service. Prices for drinks are favourable compared to other cities.

Saint Helens is a great location for many things in the area. I came up for the Magic Weekend and traveled into Liverpool each day, only 15 mins by train. Parking was very cheap, only £6 for 24 hours. There are plenty of shops and the town is right on the motorway for easy travel to Manchester or Liverpool, great place to stay to save money on the city hotels. Sabroso Tex Mex is the best fast food place i’ve ever been too, very friendly staff and great food.

i enjoy viewing architecture & art, so the old buildings whether occupied or abandoned I find interesting to check out. I was total self sufficient with my food so did not eat out locally. Birkenhead & its adjacent districts are fairly well sign posted. Satnav is good. but without postal codes, mistakes can be made with journeys to wrong places.
