Offering a garden and quiet street view, Shorelands B&B is situated in Kirkwall, 2.7 km from Scapa Beach and 17 km from Maeshowe. Our stay was very enjoyable, we felt very welcome and would encourage others to book this place if coming to visit Kirkwall.

Situated in Twatt and only 13 km from Ring of Brogdar, Runa Guest House features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything about this property was excellent......the studio apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with everything needed with the addition of goodies to start our stay such as bread, milk, eggs, etc, which was very welcome after arriving on the late ferry. Rob the host, was very friendly and welcoming. There are laundry facilities available for guest use and parking is off the road in front of the guest house.

Set in Kirkwall, 15 km from Maeshowe, Castaway Guesthouse offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Easy to get to by bus. Friendly host. Pancakes were such a wonderful addition to their menu. Comfortable and clean.

Karrawa Guest House is set in the town of Kirkwall, less than 1 mile from the town centre and within 2.5 miles of the airport and ferry terminal. Karrawa is a lovely home with a very comfortable guest room and an exquisitely appointed en-suite. Everything was so clean and Fyona was quite friendly snd welcoming. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.

Grainbank Mews, a property with a garden, is set in Kirkwall, 16 km from Standing Stones of Stenness, 18 km from Ring of Brogdar, as well as 17 km from Ness of Brogdar. From the moment we arrived, Albert made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. The accommodations were cozy and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches that added to the overall comfort of our stay.

Royal Oak Guesthouse, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Orkney, 2.2 km from Scapa Beach, 17 km from Maeshowe, as well as 19 km from Standing Stones of Stenness. The location was good. The food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

Set in Kirkwall and only 17 km from Maeshowe, Bellavista Guest House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Excellent Host, the room was spacious, spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. Wifi was good and fast, there was plenty of space to park my car nearby. The Bellavista Guest House was sign posted nearby at the last 2 junctions, so you can't really miss it. It was so quiet here, very little road traffic, just the sound of the sea. At night very dark outside, next to nothing for light pollution. Outside my mobile phone and internet reception was excellent. I stayed 5 nights and paid for breakfast. There was a wide variety to choose from on the breakfast menu and I thought it was great value.

Boasting a private beach area and views of sea, Waterfront House is a guest house set in a historic building in Finstown, 5.7 km from Maeshowe. The location, the room, the shower, the bath tub (with TV!)... there is nothing to complain about. I don't know, what else you could wish for. Though no breakfast is included, plenty of options are provided for you so you can make up a little breakfast for yourself.

Sanderlay Guest House, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is set in Kirkwall, 17 km from Maeshowe, 19 km from Standing Stones of Stenness, as well as 20 km from Ring of Brogdar. The breakfast was amazing! Delicious. I asked for oat milk and there was plenty. The best coffee I had during my stay in Britain. Lovely fresh fruits. All the ingredients were very good quality. Room 7 is really well lit and ventilated. The kitchenette amenities came in very handy as I was able to drink something hot late at night in my room. I did not mind that the bathroom was outside the room as a bathrobe was provided. Everything is super clean and the guest house is very welcoming. Great vibe. Very warm hospitality.

The Ferry Inn offers 30 rooms spread across four buildings in Stromness, and is located 6 miles from the UNESCO Neolithic Heart of Orkney. The staff, the food and the location all fabulous
