The hotel has private parking, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and check in was very smooth. We had three in our room; parents and one teenager. We were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served at your table by very professional staff. The room was amazing with a spectacular view of the perfectly groomed garden and Kilkenny Castle. The location made it easy to see all of the main sites within the townsite and is close to many great pubs and restaurants. A river walk is minutes away and there are plenty of quality shops. Highly recommend fish and chips at Matt the Millar's, just down the hill.

The welcome was very warm and kind. She showed us a room where we could have a drink whenever we wanted and with nice Easter eggs. The room was very spacious and very clean, not to mention the excellent bedding where once under the comforter you didn't want to move. The owner was the coolest guy! He was so kind to my little daughter, was eager to help us get comfortable and have a positive experience, and he was such a joy to talk to! Our room was cozy and cheerful, while the location was absolutely beautiful. The dinner we had in the evening and our breakfast in the morning were delicious and made to a very high quality. Even the gift shop was curated with good books and happy finds. Our family likes to travel and we have stayed in quite a few different places; this is our new favorite.

In a prime location in the Kilkenny City Centre district of Kilkenny, Billycan Guest Rooms is located 700 metres from Kilkenny Castle, less than 1 km from Smithwick's Brewery Tour and an 8-minute walk... It was small, but clean and comfortable.  Margaret who checked us in, was very helpful and very nice. The room is above a pizza shop but we didn’t find it noisy. We tried the pizza and it was delicious!

This Inn was a bit of a surprise; it is above a traditional stone-built Irish tavern or pub, which has an old-world feel and great food. But the hotel rooms are completely remodeled and wonderful. Really, the whole room felt like a new, upscale hotel in New York, and then we would go downstairs and have a wonderful Irish meal next to the stone fireplace. The owner spent some time in the USA, so there are a few things we noticed that were nice touches, like having American-style bacon available with breakfast. We had a room with three twin beds. It was spacious, with modern decor and a large window. There is an elevator up from ground level. Good HVAC systems kept it comfortable (we traveled in mid-October). The bathroom is very large, with very nice fixtures, heated towel bar, heated floor, a large shelf to place items on while showering, and an oversized walk-in shower with glass wall. There is also a large parking lot next door so it was convenient to put our car there, no extra charge, and walk right into the Inn.
