Posada El Volador is located in the magical village of Cuetzalán del Progreso in the northern mountains of Puebla. Each room here will provide you with a balcony and a seating area. The hotel is located just 5 min walk from the bus station (we travelled by bus). It very clean facility and the property is taken care of. Everything was super clean and there was daily housekeeping. The water pressure was great, and no problems with hot water. The room was tastefully decorated (we had 2 double beds). The owner's house is adjacent to the hotel wing. The family owns a pet guinea pig named Churro - my kids went crazy about this adorable little guy!!! So everyday the lady brought him out by the kitchen and let my kids play and pet it. Cuteness overload! The room was cool and quiet (especially, during the night). We also bought tours right from the hotel (their prices are very compatible with the rest of the tour operators). Everything was great and nothing to complain about. My kids enjoyed the nature (around Quetzalan - caves/waterfalls/pyramids) and the little Churro. ))) It's a shame that this town is virtually unknown to American tourists.

Choco Hostel features accommodation located 1 km from the centre of Puebla and offers a garden and a bar. We booked the dorms and they looked brand new! The beds were comfortable, the room was absolutely massive, and the bathrooms were clean and well taken care of. It was nice that they had 2 charging outlets for each bed, and the wifi worked decently. The family was really nice and invited us for dinner with them, invited us to their Christmas celebration and let us hit the pinata, and it is very well located in Puebla. It's about a 10 minute walk to the centro historico.

This is a great place, very high quality furnishings, you can see that the owners pay attention to detail. Very cool hacienda vibe. I stayed for 2 nights in January so it was the off season. Very quiet neighborhood, about 3Km to center, easy and affordable to zip around using Uber in Atlixco so not a problem. You can walk to the bus pretty quick also. Owners are very nice and breakfast is good! Property is beautiful and spacious- if you have kids this seems like a perfect spot.
