She also offers to do laundry for free, which I found very nice. The house is on the hill, offering a nice view on Pico and surrounded by a well-kept garden. The walk from the harbour to the house is a bit steep. I considered it to be a nice workout but for some people it may be easier to reach with a car.

Elena is amazingly helpful and was accommodating to our late arrival due to flight issues and gave us a long list of recommendations in the city. She also scheduled our taxis to and from the airport which made logistics considerably easier. If we ever make it back this is where we will stay.
