the property was spacious and clean, the family who runs it were incredibly kind and generous. there are four units in the building, and it is on a quiet corner of the beach. you can have your feet in the sea in about 20 steps, and the water is calm most afternoons. there are many places to eat and get coffee in the small seaside village of Komi, and it is a perfect location for exploring the southern half of the island. we went for a week long writing retreat and did almost no writing because we loved Chios and Komi so much. We hope to return as soon as possible.

A Greek paradise. Ok, somethings need maintenence, yet all neglectable when you are in this paradise. Fotis and his family are great hosts. You can take your morning and evening ahowers in the crystal clear water, just in front of your appartment. You can sleep while listening to the Aegean waves.

The location was great, very close to the main square of Kalamoti. Despoina and her family were great-the communication with her was faultless. She gave us tips for the best beaches and restaurants in the area that we found very useful.

A really enjoyable stay! the house is quite unique, the stone walls take you back to time, the veranda at the top is a great spot for having breakfast, and it is a fully equipped house. The village, while not touristy, is by no means inferior to the other more well-known mastihohoria...

The owner is very friendly and accommodating and she made small gestures for us to feel welcome and comfortable in the house which was very nice! Our communication with her was brilliant as well as everything else about our stay at Kantounia. We would love to return some time! 100% recommended.
