Log burner wasn't necessary for our summer stay but would be great in cooler weather. Host was really helpful prior to our arrival.

Lo Steadings Cottage si trova a Chesters e offre un giardino e attrezzature per barbecue. Everything! The place is beautiful and peaceful, near the beautiful abbeys of the Scottish borders. Ros, the owner, is very kind: she offered us the eggs of her hens and gave us plenty of tips. The cottage is wonderful, big and with plenty of facilities, with a big garden. The family has a horse, a sheep, two dogs and a cat and the children really appreciated this. We very extremely happy with our stay!

A recently renovated holiday home set in Kelso, The Burrow features a garden. This holiday home offers free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The cottage was cosy and everything I could want for a solo stay with work. The bathroom is fabulous, the cottage roasting and the bed very very comfortable. Close enough for travelling each day to Kelso for work.
