Meomul is located about 1 km or si from the city. You can walk there along a nice river or take a bus (14) to the city where you can catch buses to almost everywhere. The hotel is in the middle of the trees and fresh air. Swan, the owner is a great host always full of kind attention. He is very helpful also for organizing your visits. The rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean and cater for what you need to do your own cooking if you want. Swan prepares a great breakfast too. Certainly the best place to stay in this city!

For context I am a solo female traveller who can speak only a little amount of Korean. I had left my large suitcase at my long term accommodation in Gwangju and just brought my backpack which definitely made things a lot easier. I had a beautiful stay, and after getting lost on the rural bus network getting here the host was quick to comfort me and offered to pick me up from my location. She made me feel so at home despite the language barrier, giving me food and starting the campfire where I stayed for over an hour with little Cookie the kitten purring on my lap. While it might take a little more thought and effort getting here it is certainly worth it for the serenity and hospitality you receive. The breakfast was also lovely. Nothing to fault about my stay, I hope you consider staying too :)

The location was great - bus stop very close by and a short walk to Suncheon Bay. The owner was very kind, and the room was spacious and clean. The heated floor (ondol) was a very welcome surprise and the pension was very quiet. Altogether we had a great night's sleep and would come back again!!

There was also a great grilled fish and pork cutlet restaurant just a stone's throw away. My kids enjoyed playing in the sea at the end of a long day's driving. The courtyard was also great, with the mini pagoda to hang out in. We will go back specifically to go to this pension!
