I absolutely loved the location, I liked that it wasn't in the middle of the busier part of Montevideo but had everything you needed. My room was neat, featuring a comfortable bed and a delightful balcony. I shared a well-kept kitchen, common area, and bathroom with just two other guests, ensuring a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The immediate surroundings were fantastic, with two charming bars just 20 meters away on either side of the street. Don't worry about noise – it won't disrupt your sleep. Additionally, a large supermarket is conveniently located within less than 100 meters, making it easy to grab essentials. For dining options, the area offers a variety of choices, including Armenian cuisine. For an authentic Uruguayan experience I would recommend "Parrillada El Alemán," (15 min walk) a restaurant featured in Anthony Bourdain's food documentary "Parts Unknown" during his visit to Uruguay. Try the sweet "morcilla"!. Not too far away but easily reachable by bus is "Escaramuza," a beautiful bookstore and cafe. Or grab one of the best "chevito" I had at "El Tinkal" with a view of the ramblas. Moreover, the beach is just a short 15-minute walk away from the house, providing a perfect escape to the sun and sea. The entire house is not only clean but also well-maintained, and the host, Veronica, was incredibly helpful, making me feel truly welcome. With bus stops just a few minutes away, it's convenient to explore Ciudad Vieja and beyond. Overall, my stay was enriched by the delightful combination of a great location, comfortable amenities, and the warm hospitality of Veronica. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Uruguay.

Edificio Quijano, Montevideo'nun merkezine 500 metre mesafede konaklama olanağı, teras ve ortak salon sunmaktadır. This place was wonderful. The owners are so kind and went out of their way to get it ready for us to check in early. They gave us tons of advice and answered all of our many questions. The room is huge and has 2 balconies and a great shower. You have access to a well stocked kitchen and laundry. The WiFi worked well and everything was very clean. It is in a very cool old building (with a cool elevator) one block from the Main Street and less than 15 minutes walking to the old town. There is a paid parking garage across the street ($13 per 24 hours) or foreigners can park for free on the street in front of the house. I would highly recommend staying here!

Such a wonderful stay at this guest house, a gorgeous unique place to stay where we felt right at home. Hosts were so welcoming and we felt really relaxed using all of the facilities. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer!

This was not an accomindation for us, but additional lovely experience to visiting Montevideo. Owners are young artists renovating a culutural heritage house in the old town. You can feel here history melting with their new energy with sesinble artistic approach. They will welcome you as friends in their house and you can feel it is sincere. We had fabulous time together, we will recommend the place to all friends without a doubt and would love to meet them again.

It is impossible to find a better option for this price in Montevideo: - Bedroom: they are bigs, with A/C, and all beds with two sockets, small lamp and locker. - Kitchen: big one, all equipped. - Owner: Walter the owner is a really good host, he will help you in everthing you need. - Location: just perfect, in the city center, close to the old town and to the bus station. - Common aereas: there are ones, including a rooftop. All in all, the place is cheap and it is difficult to find a negative point.
