Categorized as a three-star family hotel, Chichin*** Family Hotel may be called ‘the most family family hotel in the town of Bansko’. We are located near to the town stadium, 984 feet away from the old town and 1640 feet away from the center of Bansko, 3937 feet away from the starting station of the cabin elevator and 4593 feet away from the bus station and the railway station, in the quiet and calm area of the town. The family has been receiving guests for three generations now! The hotel name Chichin comes from the nickname of Grandpa Lazar – the first host! Because of his profession – a stonemason, in 1950, from the specific sounds during stone processing – ‘chin-chin-chin’, his colleagues began to call him CHICHIN! Grandpa Lazar (Chichin) and Grandma Raina are the first hosts who used to receive pupils visiting the schools in Bansko in 1985. The tourist activity of the then guest house has been continued by Asen (son of Lazar and Raina) and his wife Elena, whereby, in 2004, the house was restructured to a family hotel and the children Raya and Lachezar, bearing the names of their grandparents, joined the business! Today, three families who live there throughout the year take care of the most family hotel, and namely: the family of Asen and Elena, the family of Lachezar, Neli, Elina (7 years old) and Asen (4 years old) (the children bear again the names of their grandmother and their grandfather by tradition) and the family of Raya and Tsvetelin! Everyone in our big family is responsible for that what he/she is best in and we can serve guests using Bulgarian, English, Russian, German and Dutch! Family Hotel ‘Chichin’ offers a cozy family environment in a style which is traditional for Bansko! We offer fourteen premises to our guests (8 double rooms, 3 three-bed rooms and 3 apartments with 2 + 2 beds). For our guests’ convenience, all premises have a terrace, a separate bathroom and toilet with a hairdryer, they are all equipped with a refrigerator, a TV set with cable television and WI-FI and internet port. The products for our Bansko-style specialties come directly from the local farms. We endeavor to use as many as possible local and regional products in our menu. You may taste also some home-made foods with our own-produced agricultural products. To the hotel guests we offer a buffet breakfast and a la carte lunch / dinner. You can often hear evenings, by the fireplace, traditional music played by the son Lachezar, sometimes by the daughter Raya, too, with two accordions and the thunderous voice of Grandpa Asen and the dear son-in-law Tsvetelin. We have thought also of a convenient connection between the hotel and the traditional places of interest for our guests – starting station of the cabin elevator, upper station of Banderishka Polyana (meadow), the warm mineral water pools of the village of Banya (3.7 mi) and the town of Dobrinishte (3.7 mi), Ognyanovo (25 mi), the Rila Monastery (59 mi) and others, by availing of two microbuses 8+1 which stay at our guest’ disposal for services! We traditionally meet guests at the airports in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey, too. Of course, we try to modernize our base, by offering our guests to use a sauna and a steam bath! The hotel has a pool with a Jacuzzi in one, which we offer to organized groups and for organized events only. We take care of the environment and strive to reduce the carbon footprint through efficient and optimal use of our facilities which are big consumers of energy and other natural resources!
