It is a house in the up-class area of Forest Hill which is where wealthy people live. The house has it's history but it's spacious and has a nice backyard with tables and chairs where you can chill and relax. Squirrels can be easily found at the backyard. You can even see them running around from the kitchen looking out to the backyard.
Your host Berky is a world traveler who visited 100 countries around the world. She knows exactly the needs of different types of travelers and will help you as much as possible. Apart from English, Berky can speak fluent Chinese and a little bit of Spanish and Japanese too.
Forest Hill is a decent neighborhood with 6 different banks and some grocery stores. There is a huge supermarket "Loblaws" in short walking distance above the subway station. There is a big park just a few minutes walk away that connects towards Eglington area. Good for biking and walk the dogs.
