This is a basic hotel so expectations must be adjusted. The room had a double bed and two singles. clothes rail. and plenty of coat hoooks. useful for hanging ski gear on near radiators. we essentially lived out of our suitcases. There was a sink in the main room and in the shower room. There is a nespresso machine which we didnt use. If your aim is an inexpensive place (especially with kids - mine were 10 and 8) and your modus operandi is skiing (where most of the expense lies) then this place will be very satisfactory. There is an outdoor hot tub as well as an indoor jacuzzi and sauna. The ski room has heated boot warmers. There was a lovely Continental breaksfast with scrambled eggs, hams, salami, mordatella, cheese, fresh bloomer loaves of bread, fruit, yoghurt and coffee machine. We even made a few sandwiches to take with us.
I rented from Interski at the bottom of Hemiburg lift (a short 7 minute walk) BUT the Blue 28 run is narrow and steep and not perfect for beginners - in fact the Lenzerheide (left side) of piste map is challenging for beginners. So instead of walking to Heimburg we walked up hill behind the Lodge (12 minutes) and skiied down to Churwalden and took the Panoramabahn as our first lift.
Parpan is not going to be a great place to ski if you have a lot novices as there are no ski school meeting points near by. Its a lovely mini village with a handful of hotels and restaurants. Its great because we flew into Zurich airport (Flughaffen). Short Train journey to Zurich HB, then 1h train to Chur. 20 minute ski bus (no. 8) to Parapan. Total was about 90 minutes. Bus stop was 2 minutes from hotel just up the hill. It stops oppostie the village ice skating rink.
For dinner the hotel has a reasonable small restaurant thought we never availed of dinner there as kitchen. i went to Hotel Statzerhron, and Restaurant Obertor Grill. Hotel Alpina looked the nicest of all restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Ski bus easily gives access from Chur to Lenz

A quiet location just below the village centre. Excellent shuttle service every half hour in the morning to the ski lifts and arrival departure shuttle to the railway station which was appreciated. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice and eggs cooked to order. Could have done with a wider choice of Jams maybe? The restaurant was exceptional with an excellent evening menu - couldn’t fault it.
All staff were extremely friendly and helpful - typical Swiss hospitality!

Tschuggen is an amazing place to stay in Arosa. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere in the hotel is casual luxury which I personally appreciate a lot. A highlight is definitely the hotel owned "Tschuggen Express" bringing guests directly from the hotel up to the mountain. Hotel provides sledges for guest and has an inhouse ski rental. The food and bar is great.
Parpan is a lovely little ski village. It wont cater well if you have novices as ski school requirements are not easy to get to. Stay in Lenzerheide or Churwalden or Arosa for that. But this is a little gem of a resort to get to from Zurich airport by train. The skiing was fantastic. Me and kids really enjoyed the whole area. We generally stayed on blues. At their level we avoided starting off the Heimburg lift as Blue 28 was too challenging and narrow. Head to Churwalden or Valbella for a more extensive range of easier runs. Had some great steaks at Obertor Grill.

Excellent location in the mountains, quiet, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony which was excellent. We got a lot of information at reception and she did everything she could to welcome us and assist as much as she could. The 3 star hotel overall had excellent although the room is not big but clean and the location is worth it. According to the reviews we read before arrival we were expecting breakfast with more selection but overall it was just fine with capucino eggs and more
Everything from the friendly reception staff, location, facilities and great home cooked food at night. Fab breakfast too.
Staff very helpful & couldn't do enough for us.
We had a problem with our vehicle which meant we had to stay over another night.
They couldn't of been more accommodating taking the stress out of the situation.
We would fully recommend a stay at this hotel.
What a fantastic couple.
Mid-sized family run hotel with a friendly atmosphere. Convenient location about 7-8 min walk to the lift. and can ski to about 50 meters of entrance. Very clean, and very friendly staff. Charging available for electric vehicles, a big plus (only overnight though). Excellent value for money.
The staff was really friendly and everything was really clean. The rooms are nice and also the wellness area is worth to check it out. No need to find a restaurant for the evening, the food in the hotel restaurant can really be recommended.
We would definitely book again.
The location is excellent if you are visiting the mountains. Parpan is a small village but near to many activities around. The hotel is very quiet, with a great area around it with a playground for the kids and a football field. Easy to park! The rooms were very clean.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! Great location, plenty choices for breakfast, quiet rooms and the ski/bike room was perfect to store our bikes overnight. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. We highly recommend this lovely hotel!
the property is a great location you can wake up have a delicious breakfast in the hotel and walk to the pist! if you’re looking for a nice weekend getaway it is a great place. don’t go if you want luxury it is purely a ski in ski out hotel.
This was a stop off hotel for us as we wanted to do the pradaschier toboggan in churwalden. The location was okay close to pradaschier. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. They gave some chocolate before we left which was cute
Good breakfast, separate rooms, comfy beds, very close to the ski resort (literally behind the hotel), free parking. Good food at the restaurant, but a bit too pricey. Very nice personnel.
Nice little hotel a short walking distance from the ski slopes. The hotel is simple and well kept. I would definitely go back. Breakfast and dinner were good and the staff was pleasant.
