Good location and friendly staff. The family members loafing around and the somewat old-fashioned interiors reminded me of family vacations in the 70s, so much nicer than the impersonal sterility of the large chains.
They facilitated my late decision to include breakfast without a problem. And all that for a very competitive price!

Gandria is a pictoresque, romantic little village with beautiful lake views and a laid-back atmosphere. It is easily reached from Lugano by bus or boat. There is a good choice of restaurants and the Bottega di Gandria is a great place for an outside drink. There is not much in the way of sightseeing in the village itself but it makes a great base for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

I liked the simplicity of the entire place,they cater for foreigners by providing travel and tourism magazines and also the free Lugano travel pass helps. One can also go up to the restraunt for dinner and Mellissa is wonderful and very helpfull and she will help you get to places that you want to visit.I will definately stay here again!My favorite place was the view from the top of Mont Brè..Its a good hike to the top and i loved every bit of it!And ofcourse the Bellinzona castles!Unforgettable

A beautiful little village right by the lake shore. Very quiet, but handy for Lugano, with several boats per day. The views are simply spectacular. There's a couple of good restaurants and a nice café right down by the lake.

Quiet. Beautiful. Can walk to Lugano (1 hour ) along ' olive route' which follows lakeside and is easy, level and very panoramic. Very steep narrow pedestrian paths in Gandria which are pretty but there is also a road that takes you dowm to centre if you need to drop off luggage.

The property is extremely hard to find.
The property is extremely hard to find. The GPS on the car could not locate it. There was no signage on the highway with the name of the property provided by Booking .com, which is a problem because it is located halfway down a cliff and is not visible from the road. We were lucky to have found it.

Kitchen was well equipped and there were 3 nice restaurants in town to choose. Weather was very warm for May and owner purchased nice Dyson fans for us to make the space more comfortable which was greatly appreciated. Space is minimally decorated and furnished but has what you need to be comfortable and the views are just amazing. Good place if you're looking for something quieter and more low key.
