The old town and Arbon's waterfront are picturesque and lovely to walk about. The main road inland away from the old town was not pleasant for pedestrians as far too many vehicles use it and town is not pretty in this direction with car-oriented commercial establishments prevalent.

The rooms are very basic but very clean and functional. I have stayed here a few times before so I knew exactly what to expect. Hotels are expensive in Switzerland and I find this one always the best option. Beautiful old property and eating outside or on the restaurant downstairs is amazing.
