Very convenient location
Very noisy as the room looked over a busy square and the hourly tolling of the clock tower right through the night was quite unnecessary
Bad sound isolation
Its location is good. The main sights can be reached by several minute walk.
The pillow was too soft.
Very nice location a few minutes to sbb station Friendly stuff :)
I didnt like that the room rate varies 2 night 150 then 180 then 210 then 230 ..while i am having the same room same service ..how much the hotel is occupied is not the guests issue ((((
Hotel interiour very dated, cheep motel feel
Excellent location, reception staff friendly and helpful. Room basic but clean and bed comfortable.
Room reminiscent of a hall of residence. Towels very thin and non-absorbent. No bedside tables and lights were inappropriately placed. Had to get out of bed to switch lights off.
Location.Very clean room.Friendly staff.
Great location - 5-8 minutes walk from the train station. Very clean, spacious room and comfortable beds. A lift - which was good as we were on the top floor. Great breakfast - wide variety.
The hotel is situated on a pedestrian zone with restaurants and cafes with outdoor eating areas. As a result it was very noisy until midnight or after with customers leaving, people walking by and the staff of the restaurants packing up tables and so on. We were there in summer and it was far too hot to have the windows closed, so we had to put up with the noise. It would have been good if the hotel had fans in the rooms.
Very small bathroom with unreliable shower pressure
Bed in wrong position, so no reading light. Bathroom door very loud, could hear everyones slamming.
1. Close to main station and easy to walk to. 2. Comfortable 3. Good breakfast
1. Photo on listing is wrong - in middle of block - this is the next door hotel. 2. No A/C 3. Low on outlets - glad I had my extension cord. 4. Expensive like all hotels in Switzerland close to station
Great breakfast, superb location, nice view from room, and free-transport card!
You have to pay for the wi-fi. A little bit expensive for the size of the room, but all hotels are expensive in Berne!
Kind and friendly staff
no warm water!
Location was perfect and terrific breakfast
Very uncomfortable mattress, room very small.
Breakfast was decent.
It was like a run down hotel. floors creeking and it was super noisy throughout the nights with teenagers screaming on the streets.
Location is great, beds okay.
Worst hotel ever , shower was awful. Don't recommend but hotels in Switzerland are expensive.
Noise in the street. Drunks fall out of disco at 3 a.m., then shout and kick bottles, cans, etc. for 1-2 hours just outside the hotel with no help from police station which is 100 meters away. Also smokey even though on non-smoking floor.
The location great.. close to train station. No frills hotel.
Very difficult to get door open... Bad locks.
i suppose for switzerland it was reasonable value for money, but was expensive for what it was, a fairly basic hotel. we stayed recently in italy in a very similar hotel for 40 euros ( minerva in Ravenna), the Metropole was 123 euros!!
great location. Good breakfast. excelente localização. Bom café da manhã.
the unfriendly reception staff. Professional evil. pessoal da recepção antipático. maus profissionais.
Staff - The lady on reception was brilliant really helpful. The rooms are tired but the location is excellent - rate is good - breakfast good - if you want to lounge around in a hotel room all day don't stay there if you are going to be out and about all day it does everything you need it to.
Rooms are tired but the location and room rate make up for it. I would stay there again.
- breakfast; - location; - price
- there was not receptionist as from 18.00...so if you arrive late you should find your way to find the key in a hotel crossing the street; - the streets around the hotel are a bit noisy at night; - to reach the rooms in the top floor there is not lift;
