We had a nice, roomy apartment with a bathroom, two bedrooms and a balcony for half the price of two double rooms in Bern Ibis budget hotel, which was a nice surprise. The location is excellent, in a silent street, a 5 min walk from the train station. I liked the relaxed atmosphere of the lounge. The host at the unified bar/reception was kind and helpful.

Good central location, between historic heart of the city and the main railway station. Very happening restaurant on the ground floor but the bedrooms are quiet. You get a free pass on local transport in the price of your accommodation. Special mention should be made of the breakfast which is excellent, with an impressive range of continental provisions and the unique self serve scrambled egg machine! Staff are all charming and helpful.

The hotel was adjacent to a church and a music museum and the surroundings were calm. The room was exactly as shown in the photos and was nicely and clean. I stayed alone and was able to rest comfortably on a wide bed with a good firmness mattress. The shower had hot water.
The heating was off, probably because it was the beginning of March, but I turned it on as it got cold at night. It was nice that it warmed up quickly. The hotel is located at the top of a gently sloping staircase path, but you can also take the lift. Check-out was 11am, which gave me enough time to explore the centre in the morning, have breakfast and then return to the hotel. Highly recommended!
