Youth Hostel Brienz is located on the banks of Lake Brienz, a scenic 15-minute walk from the Brienz Train Station. The hostel serves a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, available on the terrace overlooking the lake. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The private and shared rooms are decorated in wooden paneling and all have views of the surrounding Alpine scenery. Shared bathrooms are on the same floor. It is possible to store bikes in the covered area. A small children’s playground and barbecue facilities are located in the garden. The cozy lounge has a fireplace and games corner, and there is a small library at Youth Hostel Brienz. A kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and kettle is provided for all guests. In the cellar you can play table football and table tennis is available in the garden. It is possible to organize steam-boat trips on the lake and up to the Jungfrau Mountain. Trains from Brienz connect to Berne in 90 minutes. Interlaken is 9.9 mi away and is reachable by train.

United States of America“The hostel is right on the lake and offers the most incredible views! It’s just a 10 min walk or 2 min bus ride to the train station and a 20 min train ride to Interlaken which was perfect. I was glad to be away from the tourists downtown....”
