Historically known as Canton and China’s third largest city, Guangzhou is the birthplace of the most popular type of Chinese cuisine with iconic wonton soup and dim-sum. It boasts an impressive skyline, some of the oldest temples in the country and crowded markets with everything from tea to hi-tech electronics.
The busy city centre mesmerises with its futuristic architecture and beautifully lit skyscrapers but just a short trip away you can find yourself in the quiet haven of Nansha Wetland, a bird sanctuary. Rejuvenated with new energy you can then admire the traditional Cantonese architecture of Xiguan Residence, once occupied by the upper class.
One of the city’s most popular attractions, the Liurong Temple is an absolute must-see, dating back to the 6th century and featuring a 17-storey high pagoda. Make sure you don’t miss traditional buildings near Yide Road as they’re slowly being removed from the map due to the city’s rapid growth.
From a 1000-year-old lake garden, to plenty of theme parks, relaxing rolling hills and mountains, Guangzhou seems to indeed have it all! Add impressive street markets and shopping centres and you’re up for a fascinating ride.
Guangzhou Airport is a convenient metro or taxi ride away and Booking.com provides over 390 different accommodation options for you to choose from.

Indeed The hotel customer service people are very nice and they support us to arrange taxi and others but the property inside decorations is very old model not updated they have no microwoven in the room as I was business suit they provided us only one big towel on shower faciltiteis where should be at least 2.
Their make up room people doesn't speak English it is very big problem.
1 st they provided to me room number 1500 which is not sound proof at all shared room on door to others room. Business suit room is not like that as my experience.
Location is good nearby have indian restaurant by walking distance 100 meters.
So should improve the Room decorations accordingly.

Nice and bustling city with a lot of great food and places to explore. Transportation including taxi is affordable and there is also good art and cultural space if you are fan. There is also no shortage of good shopping mall like Grandview Mall, TeeMall, IGC Mall, Beijing Road Walking street etc. it will be good idea to avoid visit during Canton Fair if you are not intending on visiting the Fair as the hotel fare will be high and high volume of traffic

It has a terrible location, difficult access to any part of the place, there are no shopping or food options, poor quality reception service, and service, I believe for the price paid, it was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, worse than a guesthouse, expensive for what it offers

very vibrant city. clean and convenient in terms of commuting. food and shopping is cheap. people are helpful and friendly. Only issue was we were conned by taxi driver when we travelled from airport to hotel. His meter showed 500 RMB + 20 odd toll fees ...obviously being manupulated. ...unfortunately we didn't take down the taxi number to file a complain. So be careful taking taxi from airport. DiDi still best

Incredible city with more restaurants than I've seen on travels to almost 100 countries, and every restaurant I tried was fantastic, despite most of my meals costing in less than €5. The metro system was easy to use; I never felt the need to try a taxi or e-hailing. Each day of wandering around I discovered new areas that kept me going for hours, whether it was vast parks, traditional areas with narrow alleyways, or gleaming malls and skyscrapers. I was surprised at how clean it was, without a spot of litter on the ground. I know this sounds like PR text from the city tourism department, but I was genuinely wowed. I am looking forward to returning and exploring in more depth than a short 5-day stay allowed.

taxi service bad in the Guangzhou, drivers always trying to cheat, want to take more money,. You must be carefull, from where, to where, you have to check on phone map, always. If you controlled them, give them real transportation money showed you on screen of taxi, Drivers are very unhappy, never say "thank you", silent. If they cheat you, get more money, more than planned, They are very happy tell you "xie xie", it means next time you come again, i cheat you again sound like that.
The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had in China - very high quality and HUGE selection. For example, the bacon is hand carved off a slab of meat, not out of a package like most other hotels. Very impressed. The room itself was spacious but a little dated. Bar is open until 2am which is later than most hotel bars in China. Location is great, in the heart of Tianhe close to awesome bars and restaurants. Huge gym with lots of equipment.
Hotel's location is good. Close to many eateries and cafes. I found a halal place nearby. Good area for walking. Staff was very professional and cooperative though they had language limitations but still they were able to understand basic English. The front office guy gifted me a small rechargeable fan upon check out which was a very kind gesture by the hotel. Free shuttle for Canton fair saved me an extra 200 to 300 RMB
The hotel is very new and very nice. Facilities are very comfortable and the staffs are amazing. Even though, some had little difficulties in speaking English, they still try their very best to assist on any matters. Service wise it was one of the best hotel I have visited so far. People traveling for business (especially for Canton Fair) I would recommend this hotel.
the hotel was near Canton Fair… it is like 10 minutes away from the fair… the hotel is renovated and the staff was nice … the best one was Natalie who helped us in everything .. she is really nice and she speaks english so it was easier to me as i’m not a Chinese speaker.
good option for canton fair … the area is good and around all areas.
The room exceeded all my expectations, big beds, clean, everything you need in the room, beautiful view from the 23rd floor.
Extremely friendly everyone at the reception. They know enough English.
The hotel is located in a business district surrounded by tall buildings.
Shuttle bus to Canton fair free of charge.
Hotel staff and cleaners were extremely helpful and friendly to all our issues and questions. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and theres always some tea time snacks at the lobby. The shuttle bus to canton fair was such a plus! We also really appreciate the free laundry and ample bottled water available.
Everything was great. Less than minute to subway. I went to Poly World Trade Center which is only 2 stations from the hotel. Staffs were great. They are full of service mind, as well as they can speak English fluently. I can see Canton tower from my room on 38th floor too. Neighborhood was quite and clean.
Very nice hotel in the middle of city. Staffs were very polite. Breakfast was decent. Lot of shopping centers nearby.
Restaurants, KFC and MAC nearby. Clean and comfortable bed. Allows late check out.
I want to mention Mr. Joshua from the front office, who helped me a lot during my stay.
I liked the room, very clean abd good size, I also like the location, it is close to Canton Fair and is beside the Conrad Hotel which has a great bar. We also discovered a fantastic Turkish restaurant beside the hotel which was so nice we went back every evening after we found it
Great price. The front of house staff were very helpful. The airport transfer was extremely reliable & runs all day.
The hotel is fine to sleep for a day stop over in Guangzhou. It is probably 2-3 star by western standards & we were fine with that because it's good value.
it is very convenient to live near airport, especially when you have the morning flights. so, if you have a flight connections, you can choose this hotel. the personnel was very friendly and helped if there were any questions.
Lanzi was very kind & helpful, I arrived 2300 hr, But she help me to find the accommodation. It's one hour metro ride from the airport. Far south end of the city. Hostel location Close to metro & restaurants about 200 m.
For travel by subway, here is the best hotel. Near this hotel, there are 2 restaurants, a must to try
1 Guanzhou restaurant
2 Wuu Hongkonk restaurant
And very close to the shopping Mall Taikoohui just opposite.
Everything was great. The best location on New town area. We were satisfied. Hotel bus to the Canton fair everyday was on time. We broke up our stay with a trip to Hong Kong and would love to return to the hotel.
The hotel is very close to the subway station. Just 2 minutes. For 1 hour go to Canton Fair station , about 45 minutes by taxi. The hotel is next to the Wanda Plaza. There is many choices for food.
Hilton hotel liked us very suitable room
and very comfortable location near to Canton fair
Nearest shopping center in good places
Next time will be soon come back
Also very good breakfast
The LIZ Hotel was very clean and fresh. Parquetry in the bedroom and nicely decorated. Bathroom & Toilet was clean. It's very close to the airport, so if you have a lay over, its very handy.
Perfect location to attend the Canton Fair. So close you can go back to the hotel for an hour and recharge midday. Beautiful decorations in the main area
very clean, comfortable and luxury hotel. Also very convenient for Canton Fair exhibition. With great services for the fair. The staff are very helpful.
