Interesting setup with the rooms surrounding a small central courtyard. Very quaint and quiet like an oasis in the middle of a giant metropolis. The staff was wonderful and served a nice breakfast to start off your day.

The property is absolutely stunning. The hotel was a little difficult to find, but that may have been more due to our maps app not working very well in China. Otherwise once we found the location it was perfect. It is unassuming from the outside but once you’re in it’s so peaceful. The courtyard is beautiful and was a great spot for breakfast. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were very welcoming and communicative. They replied to emails promptly when I had questions and gave several restaurant recommendations. Thanks so much !

The lobby and rooms are very unique and it has a nice vibe. The property manager John was also very knowledgeable about Beijing and helpful when I needed a ride from the airport. The location is nice too.

Great value for money! The rooms and facilities were simple but exactly what we wanted for our travel needs given the affordable price. Air conditioning was a huge plus given the hot weather. The whole facility had a real traditional feel and was set right in amongst the hutongs which was exactly the experience we were looking for. But the real plus of this place would have to be the host Mark and his team. He was so kind and welcoming and with his command of both english and mandarin he was able to help us navigate the city and get the most out of beijing. He also spent the time to chat with us about the history of the place and we learnt a lot. Could not recommend this place enough for those travelers looking for a more authentic, off the beaten path experience in a comfortable and well kept setting.
