Property info

Osa de Rio lies in the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, nested on the bank of the Cortezal River and only 250 meters away from Uvita's waterfall. Osa de Rio is a small hostel with a warm welcome and a convivial atmosphere. We are surrounded by gardens full of fruit trees and birds. Ideally located on the side mountain of Uvita, 10 minutes on foot to the downtown area, in the proximity of any convenience but with the privacy and peacefulness of the rainforest. The beach and the famous “Whale’s tail” of Marino Ballena's National Park is only a 5 minute drive from the hostel. Our location allows rest, bird watching (Toucans, Macaws, Hummingbirds, Iguanas…) and lets in the sounds of the tropical jungle. We do not have television - we are a retreat into nature and surrounded by the jungle and all that comes with it, but still close enough to the main area that we do not require a car. This small hotel is composed of 2 air-conditioned double rooms which offer space and privacy. We also have 2 rooms with fans and dehumidifiers which offer comfort and big views of the jungle. If you seek nature and peace, welcome to Osa de Rio. Yoga mats, a book exchange, and board games are available for guest use. aWe also offer access to a fully equipped kitchen.

Ideally located in the mountain of Uvita de Osa, a one minute walk to the river, 5 minutes by car to the famous “Whale's Tail” - Marino Ballena Park, 15 minutes by foot from downtown where you can find all the comforts (Supermarkets, restaurants, office of tourism, banks, station of bus, doctors, rent car). Within close walking distance are delicious restaurants, and several waterfalls.
