The house is 100 years old with beautiful original features but all mod cons. The property is tastefully presented and well equipped for self catering. Katie our host was exceptionally helpful, walking us round Polis to familiarise ourselves with Supermarkets and restaurants. The property is 5 minutes walk from the old town of Polis with a good choice of restaurants, coffee houses and bars. Its 15 minutes to the beach and a 40 minute walk to the next village Latchie, on a flat concrete path.

The property is in the center of Polis Chrysochous, it is an oasis and you get the feeling that you are in your own private paradise! There are only two places for rent, the Persa Studio and the Despina house. The property is within one minute from the traditional village, shops, taverns, coffee shops. the beach is only 2kilometers from the property. The small town of Polis, which in Greek simply means 'town', overlooks the beautiful bay, with its warm, clear and safe seas. With its quaint sandstone buildings around a pedestrianised town centre with its restaurants, bars and souvenir shops, it is a delightful place to hang out on a summer evening. Vasilion Agrotourism property is a heritage house that belonged to our family for the last century. Roman Antiquities and Greek antiquities have been discovered while we were renovating the property and can be seen in the garden. Our guests enjoy the garden and most of the time they love to chill out by the pool, listening to the birds and enjoying the aromas from the flowers. Have you ever seen a turtle, the beaches around the area are hosting Caretta-Caretta sea turtles. Walking distance to the beach 15 minutes but if you like to drive to the best beach it is only a 10 minutes drive. The bus station is 5 minutes walk, by hiring a car you can also visit the so many small villages around Polis, the Akama peninsula, Apfrodite's baths is only a 10 minutes drive from the property. Vasilion Agrotourism property is a unique place for special guests, nature lovers who want to enjoy their privacy. You can be in the centre of the village but also be hidden away from the hectic, exhausting daily routines. Vasilion Agrotourism is a hidden gem where time stops, where dreams can happen, where you relax and enjoy your vacations.
The property belonged to my grandmother, I am now the owner of this gem, it took me some years of reorganising, renovating, planting trees and flowers. Love and care are my forces and nothing would be made into reality without having the dream to bring this family property back to life. I am so happy that I can share this dream with you and you can also enjoy my small oasis. It gives me pleasure and fulfilment when our guests enjoy their holidays, that is a great achievement, it means a lot to me so I can continue to care and love my heritage house. Polis is a town at the north-west end of the island of Cyprus, at the centre of Chrysochous Bay, and on the edge of the Akamas peninsula nature reserve. Polis is served by the fishing port of Latchi. The area around the town of Polis in the north western tip of Cyprus, is possibly one of the most beautiful parts of the island, a place where legend has it Aphrodite once roamed, and perfect throughout the year for both short weekend visits, as well as for longer stays. This is the place to come to relax, as life here continues at a gentle pace. It's not surprising that the Polis region together with the rest of the Pafos district have been chosen as a Top 20 most green and in harmony with nature destination, as well as a Destination of Excellence in "Accessible Tourism", part of the EDEN project promoting sustainable tourism development.Whatever your interests there's much to see and do in the area. With warm crystal clear seas, no tides or undercurrents, the Polis region is perfect for water sports, from water skiing, to windsurfing, sailing, and deep water fishing. and scuba diving. Take a boat trip along the dramatic coastline and discover the magic of the underwater world by snorkelling or scuba diving off the Akamas coast. Or just laze in the sun on one of the many uncrowded beaches. In the evenings stroll along Polis' pedestrian area and take in the sights and sounds of the town. If culture is what you're after, visit the archaeological museum in Polis which displays fine artefacts from the area where the ancient city-kingdom, Marion-Arsinoe, once stood. Examples of Byzantine art can also be seen in various small churches and museums which also have interesting exhibits of folk art. The town of Polis itself has its own architectural character, with its stone buildings, Vasilion Agrotourism is in the center of Polis Chrysochous, the sea, Latchi port, restaurants, banks, supermarkets are withing walking distance. The camping site is only 10 minutes walk.
