The hotel i.e. a restaurant with rooms on the upper floor is situated in a suburb obviously considered to be posh. Currently this part of town is surrounded by two mega road construction projects which are simply too much for any navigation system. Letting your guests drive into this without warning or instructions is careless and insensitive.
It turned out that the restaurant had its rest days when I was visiting. There was nobody, no personnel - only a code to get the room key out of a box to enter the otherwise fairly good room. I paid for a breakfast, but there was no place or person to give me breakfast. I am now waiting for reimbursement for the breakfast which had to be paid in advance. Slightly bizarre.
