The Landhotel Grashof is an excellent, traditional German country hotel. It was so quiet and relaxing with good food, clean rooms, and friendly staff. We were there with our preteens/teen and it was really nice to let them explore while we relaxed. It was nice to spend family time playing card games in the beer garden which was shady and overlooked a pasture. There are several walks through the forest and fields which were nice especially when I needed to stay with one of the kids at the hotel, and the others could easily go walking. It’s within 10 miles of Fulda and attractions. We were very sad to leave and would definitely stay again.

This family-run hotel is set in beautiful Rhön countryside, a 5-minute drive from the village of Kalbach. Landhotel Grashof offers a spa area with 3 different saunas, a gym, beauty treatments and massages. The spacious rooms at the 3-star Superior hotel are brightly decorated in a cottage style. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen satellite TV, a balcony and a private bathroom. Traditional German country cuisine and theme buffets are served in the hotel restaurant. Guests are also welcome to relax at the rustic-style bar with wooden furnishings or in the beer garden. Landhotel Grashof is an ideal base for hiking and cycling, and 12 mi from the nearest ski region. Electric bikes can be hired at reception. On-site parking is free, and the A66 motorway is 5 minutes away. The hotel is 30 minutes from Fulda and a 60-minute drive from central Frankfurt.
