Hotel Royal  

The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, suggesting places to see, eat, storing luggage and calling cabs. Could not fault them. Hotel was only 5 minutes was to Romer platz.

Very old, not comfortable, no services, not as promised

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable to sleep in.

The smell from the toilet was over-powering when we came first into the room, this was really upsetting. The bathroom was old and in urgent need of upgrading and repair. The carpets were old and stained.

Because of an exhibition, the price was too high.

Is is a very good and perfectly clean hotel. The staff were as friendly and as helpful as could be, helping us out with our questions about where to go and eat in the city. The room was spacious and beds comfortable. The location is excellent in the middle of Sachenshausen with a lot of things to do. However the room was quiet and I had a peaceful, uninterrupted night of sleep.

Very nice and social staff, hotel is located in interesting area, close to the center as well as nightlife. Decent rooms and good breakfast. Very good value for money!!

The staff at Hotel Royal is great, they're very helpful in advising you where to go and what to do. Although they work hard, there is always a smile on their face. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was a delight. Also, for some reason or other the hotel seems to attract a lot of interesting people.

For a very reasonably priced 3* in central Frankfurt this ticked all the boxes - friendly & helpful staff, free wi-fi that worked well, good breakfast, quiet location despite being near the social scene.

The hotel was in a good location, the area seemed safe, close to public transport, places to eat - pubs etc and shops. I would give the staff 10 out of 10. They were more than helpful, pleasant and willing to assist you in any way.

Nice location, rather close to the metro station. Many cafes are nearby. The service matches the money paid.

When I paid for the room, my credit card was charged in usd (!!!). I don't know why, nobody asked me which currency is preferable, and nobody told that the payment will be in dollars. This currency trick caused that I paid about 15 Euros more. If I knew this before, I would pay cash...

Great location in the centre of old Sachsenhausen, with lots of bars and restaurants close-by, yet only a 10 min walk across the River Mainz to the Aldstadt (old town) of Frankfurt. We needed bording passes for our flights to be printed and the hotel staff were really helpful in processing the same for us. All they speak perfect English!

A little tired around the edges and the breakfast choice was fairly limited, but the room was a good size, clean and at 50 euro for a single room, you can't complain!

Excellent helpful staff!

Hotel Royal is efficiently managed with friendly, helpful staff. For the hotel category - 3 Star - the rooms were really good - comfortable beds and towels changed every day with room cleaning. Buffet style breakfast with wide fruit selection and lovely breads etc. It was peaceful and quiet. However, in very hot weather, there are no fans or aircon. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a central budget hotel in Frankfurt.
