The location is really good. Quite close to the highway for our journey from Berlin to Rostock, yet far enough away that you do not hear any cars. Behind the hotel one finds a quiet forest, yet in front is a lively beach with plenty of options for swimming and other water-sports. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the balcony door could open, yet came equipped with a screen door to prevent bugs from entering the room. While the reception closes at a reasonable hour, one can still pop-down to the restaurant and bar downstairs for a late-evening drink while overlooking the lake. In the morning, it offers a good breakfast served by amazing staff, which one again can take in- or outside and while enjoying the view.

Strandhaus am Inselsee is peacefully located directly on the banks of the Inselsee Lake. The hotel offers bicycle rental as well as boat rental at the Inselsee Lake. A children’s playground is provided for younger guests. The spacious rooms at Strandhaus am Inselsee are decorated in warm colors and feature large windows with views of either the lake or the surrounding countryside. Each includes a flat-screen TV and a tablet. Guests are invited to dine at the Kurhaus am Inselsee, located just 328 feet away. Guests are also welcome to use the Kurhaus Hotel's swimming pool and spa area for a small fee. Güstrow Nature Park is located nearby and worth exploring. The A19 motorway is a 10-minute drive away from the hotel and provides links to the seaside town of Warnemünde on the sandy Baltic coast. Rostock is a 40-minute car journey away from the hotel.
