There are good fishing opportunities in Hvide Sande, among other places, where you can also visit the aquarium at "Fiskeriets Hus". Or you can use the bicycle path "Vestkystruten", which is close to the cottage and goes from Oksbøl in the south to Bulbjerg in the north. Also the bird reserve "Tipperne" is worth a visit.
