Antonius HotelÜlikooli 15, 51003 Tartu (Show map) Wonderful, Score from 176 reviews“Very large rooms, ornate, friendly hotel in a great location to explore Tartu.”
Justin,
London
The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the historic quarter of Tartu, right across from the university. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. This elegant 5-star hotel offers individually designed, air-conditioned rooms with LCD TVs, minibars, safes, and large bathrooms. They are decorated with historic wallpaper, wall paintings, fireplaces and authentic antique furniture. The rooms feature wide windows and high ceilings, and offer views of Tartu University or the hotel’s courtyard. The Antonius Hotel is located in a historic building first mentioned in the 16th century. As the house is a heritage-listed building, great care was taken during restoration work to protect and preserve interior and exterior features. The restaurant has a medieval vaulted cellar with a unique glass atrium. Guests can enjoy gourmet candlelight dinner under the starlit sky, or an elegant breakfast. Hotel Rooms: 18

Comfortable hotel right in the centre of town. If you need to be at the University, it is right next door. Good breakfast; friendly service. I'd stay again if I get the chance.

The hotel was very beautiful as it was a very historical building decorated nicely. The location was very good. It was just opposite of the magnificent university building and located in the old part of the city. Staff was very helpful. Food in the restaurant was also delicious!

The central and quiet location. Ideal for us as we were visiting our son who is attending Tartu University. The room was hot and the aircon rather noisy.

The staff of the hotel is excellent, always ready to please your needs. We arrived 4 hours before the check-in, and as we were with a small baby they found the room for us straight away without extra payment. Plus we asked for the electric kettle and while we were traveling up by the elevator, the administrator took the stairs and was already waiting us on the 3rd floor with the kettle in his hands. There is also a luggage room at the first floor, where we could leave the frame from the stroller. It is necessary to book the parking beforehand, as it is downtown and there is no parking possible for a long time. The personnel park your car in the inner yard. The room was spacious and calm, enormous and soft bed. The food choice at the restaurant is limited (4 entrees, 4 main courses and 4 deserts), but definitely very tasty.

The spacious room and large comfortable bed, and the easy to use wifi. The hard sell to upgrade the room, as hotel was practically empty they could have just given a complementary upgrade, as our hotel in Tallinn did. Also the breakfast was not what I'd expect from a luxury hotel.

I liked a cosiness and hospitality of this small hotel, interiors of number, a hall and restaurant, quality of a restaurant food and service, possibility to use the Internet and the hotel computer as well. I didn't like absence of menu in Russian and impossibility of dialogue in Russian at registration and in restaurant.

Everything was excellent! Place, atmosphere, the staff... But the most charming thing is, that subtle luxury doesn't put into the shade pleasant cosiness...

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Tartu. Very polite service staff. We had a delux room, which was very spacious, even though it was located at the 4th floor. Breakfast was nice (incl. sparkling wine), and you can order some warm meal from the menu. There should be more some kind of hooks in the room's vestibule where you can put your coats.

“The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is easily found in the middle of Tartu, which is easy to navigate around. We were only there for one night but had a nice walk in the park and found the Wilde Restaurant attached to a theatre, which did fabulous food. The hotel room was clean and had everything we needed, and the breakfast was substantial and varied.” Timothy, Musselburgh |
