L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is roughly midway between Barcelona El Prat Airport and the centre of the Catalan capital, which makes it a popular accommodation choice. Although now effectively a Barcelona suburb, it is actually a separate city and is one of the most densely populated in the EU, which means no shortage of cheap hostels, modern apartments and luxury hotels on Booking.com.
One of these – the Hesperia Hotel – is a landmark in its own right, as its bulbous tower encloses a panoramic restaurant. Other innovative skyscrapers pepper the skyline – a sign of the city’s financial importance. Fira Barcelona Montjuic is a busy exhibition centre and across the road is the large Gran Via 2 Shopping Centre.
Metro stations on the Gran Via connect Hospitalet de Llobregat to Plaça d'Espanya. It is also linked to Barcelona Sants by trains from the station near El Centre, the oldest district. Narrow Carrer Xipreret is lined with pastel-coloured buildings and a historic building around the corner houses the Hospitalet History Museum. Another interesting structure is the Can Sumarro library and the surrounding shops, cafés and bars reflect the diverse population.
In the north, near Barcelona’s Les Corts district, is the iconic Nou Camp stadium, home of world-famous FC Barcelona.

Sent my days in Barcelona, I was there just to sleep because I got a cheaper hotel located there. There were no good options for restaurants for dinner or coffee places. It's not a touristic area at all. Wouldnt recommend staying there unless you need to save some money on accommodation or have a specific event you're are attending nearby.

Great acomodation for a very good price in central location. We were in Barcelona for a Euroleague game and all were fantastic. The facility have exactly what you would need and furnished ia tasty style especially for thar kind of price range. Maybe the only thing that could be seen as a flaw was the lack of an elevator... But we didn't need any .

The people in the front desk was very helpful.
The people in the front desk was very helpful. Our flight arrived at 9am the check in was at 3pm but they help us and let us in the room earlier. That made a huge difference for us cause we were able to rest and then go out and enjoy the city until late.

It's not a busy part of Barcelona in the tourist sense. You need to use the Metro at least 30 minutes with line changes to get to the major tourist attractions but this was close by to the Fira Granvia where I was going to work the following week.IramainUnited States of America

There are plenty of low-key restaurants, bakeries, and shops close to the hotel. It's only a few blocks away from a Metro station and major bus lines. Please note, however, that it is not near any major tourist attractions or "popular" neighbourhoods. It's also technically not in Barcelona. Good location easy to reach city center by metro what was near. I bought ticket for 8 journeys per 10 euro and we used it with my husband. Parking was nearby, it was host´s recommendations. Our car - minivan what is 2,1 meter high and this parking was perfect. Super safe what is really important in Barcelona😁 We paid about 6.5 euro per day. Gracias fue perfecto!

This hotel is a bit far from the city center (tourist areas) we had bikes so getting around was not a problem and loads of fun actually. it is also close to public transportation stations and we saw plenty of bus stops. Next time I go to a large city I don't know I will go to a tour bus site to see which sites where they drive around to get a better sense of scale.

There is a cafeteria on the ground floor connected to the hotel where you can have a very nice breakfast. The room was small but it was absolutely fine for us for 1 night before our onwards travel.
