Welcome to our little summer house. It is located in the heart of Castell d’Aro just 4 km away from the beaches of the Costa Brava and a 35 min car ride away from Girona. We offer our cozy 4 bedroom house with a little garden, fully equipped open kitchen and a living room with a fire space. Come and enjoy your vacations in our homely house.
Hi, We are a family with three daughters (ages 21, 19 and 19). I'm a professor at Gironas University and my wife works as a restorer of paintings and old books. Also she is a iyengar yoga teacher.
Castell d'Aro is located at the foot of the Gavarres and the middle of the d'Aro valley. The medieval village invites you to have a walk and discover the calm rhythm of the village, which is declared as a cultural asset of national interest. The house is situated in a little street. Nearby there are a pharmacy, supermarket, bakery, butcher, tabacco shop, hair dresser, fruit and vegetable shop etc. During the summer month every afternoon you can buy fresh vegetables and eggs from a farmer that produces close by. The village has a restaurant, a pizzeria, 3 bars and a big playground for children. The house where you will stay is the old house where the person who opened and closed the barriers of the old train from Girona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, now via verda, lived. Located on the outskirts of the village, two minutes from the historic center of Castell d'Aro, a medieval village in the Baix Empordà very close to Platja D'Aro and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, it is a quiet refuge in an environment with many places to visit.
