Casa Lucia is a light, airy fully equipped apartment with wonderful panoramic sea views and private south facing terrace. Air conditioning for the hot summer months and a wood burner for cooler winter evenings. A few steps away in the garden you'll find an additional BBQ terrace. Stepping onto the sunny terrace of Casa Lucia your eyes can follow the skyline from the pine hills above to the stunning view of the Atlantic ocean below. In the evening you can see the lights of the village twinkling. Don't forget to look up and see an abundance of stars and the Milky Way stretching across the sky. Casa Lucia is set in a peaceful location and yet just a short walk away from the village where you will find shops, restaurants, bank, chemist and post office. Hiking trails can be joined just a few minutes from the apartment. If you prefer to relax then sit back and enjoy the comfy outdoor furniture. Rob and I live next door and are always on hand to answer any questions you may have. We respect your privacy and will not disturb you.
Rob and I are an English couple and always planned to live in a warmer climate one day, somewhere not too far away from the UK. We look forward to welcoming you to our small piece of paradise here on La Palma. We enjoy the laid back pace of life and the locals are warm, friendly people. After retiring early we made the move and have now lived here for 16 years! Since renting our apartment Casa Lucia we have met lots of delightful guests and made many friends along the way.
Our guests enjoy the walks in the surrounding nature. Puntagorda has a handful of restaurants and being so close to the village, a car isn't essential when dining out in the evening. A walk to the newly renovated weekend market is a must. This is where the villagers come to sell their produce. Currently a restaurant is being built alongside, which is guaranteed to have stunning views over the valley. For the brave tourists who fancy a birds eye view, a zip line is now open at weekends (payment required). The Almond Festival in February is very popular with visitors and the local people from all over the island. In the early spring the surrounding area is covered in pink Almond blossom.
