Inca is home to many permanent island residents and is less of a destination, more of a place to stay. Down town historical district, shops and weekly markets are bustling and similar to surrounding towns, but the scale of Inca translates into less of a "small vacation town" feeling. Overall, Inca is centrally located with some great local B&Bs and boutique hotels [Sa Vinya des Convent is a great example] that will serve you well if you are planning to stay in Inca for more than 2 weeks. The surrounding hilly areas both north and south of the highway also have many many beautiful small finca style properties that are surrounded by farm animals and benefit from a cooler afternoon breeze than one experiences in downtown Inca. Inca is also a great origin for bike touring in that you can experience a large variety of bike routes originating from Inca that will take you in all directions from rolling farms to small hilltop hamlets to the mountain rides of the Serra De Tramuntana.

The best location to visit all sides of the island.

The best location to visit all sides of the island. I would definitely recommend hiring a car! Town centre has all you need so no need to travel to any neighbouring towns - just a 25 minute drive to the airport and a lovely outlet shopping centre just 10 minutes away!

Inca gets a bad reputation for being the industrial backwater of Mallorca. But the downtown has a couple charming plazas and streets, and the location is about as good as it gets without being crowded or touristy. In fact, there's really nothing that feels touristy about Inca. But, it's close to Sierra Tramuntana, Palma, and Pollenca.

Inca is pretty industrial and run down. the few buildings...

Inca is pretty industrial and run down. the few buildings around and off of the main square are pretty and in the traditional spanish style but the rest of the city is very ugly. Think Milton Keynes or Hemel Hempstead.... You can definitely just pass through it... We spent two nights at Sa Vinya Convent hotel which is absolutely beautiful and a 5 min walk from the city centre, but we could have just done one. It's very walkable, there's supermarkets and lots of shops - if just does't really have any of the charm of towns like Pollença or Sóller. The one recommendation I do have is to go to a restaurant called 'Sa Fabrica' on the main street. It's in the Michelin Guide and the food was incredible and so cheap. A 5 course lunch tasting menu is only 27.50EUR per person and it's beyond delicious. Marcel, the chef is also super nice and will chat to you about the dishes. That was the highlight of our stay there. Book in advance to avoid missing out.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The poolside had all sorts of relaxing furniture from sun beds to a hammock. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so attentive. Usually hotels bathrooms always have an issue whether it be poor water pressure or leaks but our bathroom was just so great everything was working so perfectly! The location was amazing and right in the centre of all the must visit places! I have no bad words about this beautiful house hosted by Maria and Xavier.

Petra is the most wonderful host. She recommended various places to see. We couldn't have asked for a more welcoming, friendly and obliging host. Petra never intruded, she allowed total privacy. We were encouraged to use the communal kitchen and dining/lounge upper deck. Every effort was made to make sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was kept immaculate daily. This would be one of my highest recommendations to anybody staying in Mallorca. Inca is a most beautiful town.

Located in the beautiful countryside, it is very peaceful and quiet with gorgeous views on the nearby mountains. We enjoyed stunning skies and sunsets every night. The finca is comfortable with everything you need for adults and children. The terrace is well furnished, allowing you to live outside. Inca and its shops are very close, only a 10-minute drive away. Inca itself is pretty central on the island. Hence, all attractions and places of interest are within a 1-hour drive.

Pep and Rosalia literally made us feel like family, they were so lovely. We stayed away one night after visiting some friends in Deia and had a worried message from them making sure we were ok. They live in a house next door and every other day we would come back to a freshly baked cake on the stairs waiting for us and they were delicious :) . The house itself is really cool and its quick walk into the centre of Inca with plenty bars, restaurants and shops.

The pictures of this hotel are beautiful but somehow it was even nicer in person! we had high hopes for this hotel and it still exceeded our expectations. The property was stunning, the breakfast SO worth it, and the amazing pool was just the cherry on top. the location is also great and right near the bus stop (though it is not at all noisy). the staff were so accommodating and kind as well! thank you for a perfect stay Maria :) 10/10, we will be back!

So many things!! Maria and Xavier were very helpful…giving us many suggestions on where to go on the island and places to eat near by, some walking distance. The property is beautiful… surrounded by olive trees, lemon/orange orchards and vineyards! The pool beautiful with many options for outdoor sitting. The boutique hotel was lovely and very clean. Beautiful oasis of an agroturismo. Once behind the gates you are in another world, almost back in time from the industrial area surrounding. Great access to the whole island of Mallorca with shops and efficient bus network on door step.

The house was spotless clean, and in a very central location in Inca. The host left some cookies, wine and water to welcome us, which was nice. The check-in was easy to organize, as the host was flexible on the timing.
