This is my third or fourth stay at the Hostal Tokio. The location is perfect with a short walk to two different Metro lines, several Markets, bakeries, restaurants, etc. They provide a nice basket of toiletries, the showers are nice pressure, and the staff are very kind, especially the young translator ;) The neighborhood (Malasana) is considered "hip" now, which means lots of options for food, music, bars.

The simple rooms at the Tokio guest house have a private bathroom with a bath or shower and amenities. Rooms are also heated, and there is a TV and a work desk. The Tokio has vending machines for drinks and snacks. Its central location means there are many bars and restaurants nearby. There is a tour desk, and many tourist sites, such as the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen Bornemisza museums, are within a 15-minute walk. Parking is available near the guest house for an additional charge.
