A wonderful place in a picturesque mountain village – just aged a little bit over the years. Great for creative people, individualists, hikers or families - all who do not rely on five-star-luxury. The finca is located in Galilea, a little mountain village which many travel guides identify as one of the nicest villages on the whole island. The place on a slope above the village center is very charming, and so is the little house itself. We have herited the house from our parents, who liked it without frills and more in the local style. So don't expect extravagant bells and whistles. But there is everything you may need for a relaxed holiday.
We like to go to Galilea ourselves some time every year. Also my brothers and sisters and their children love to stay there once in a while. The rest of the time we rent the property out to nice people, who like charming old houses and the quite life on the countryside and in the mountains.
The finca is located in Galilea, a little mountain village which many travel guides identify as one of the nicest villages on the whole island. The place on a slope above the village center is very charming, and so is the little house itself. Galilea is an old village on 460 meters above sea level. It is composed mostly of cobblestone buildings grouped around the lazy main square with it’s church. There are no hotels. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed even in high season. From Palma you will reach Galilea within a 25 minutes drive passing the also very neat village of Puigpunyent. From there the road climbs up firmly. Distance to the sea side at Peguera is about the same. The temperature is quite pleasant up Be aware that you will really find yourself in the mountains. Those who are anxious car drivers or passengers who have problems with winding mountain roads might be better off somewhere else. Be prepared that specially in winter it can be a bit more rainy and chilly in the mountains than down on sea level. Our neighbors are friendly and helpful. However, on the weekends they insist to listen to music in the garden. Only during daytime - at night it is really quite here.
