This finca is so well done—delicious bedding, quiet without being boring, attentive staff that show up only when you need them. Breakfast is fantastic. An example of their attention to detail: I said I wanted hard boiled eggs every day and there they were, every single day. This seems like a simple thing, but someone took the time to write it down so that no matter who was working that day, they knew what I liked for breakfast.

This is my second review. We reported a boiler or hot water tank problem at 1.30 am. It woke us and the noise and overheating plug worried us.
In the morning we had to insist to be offered another apartment by central reservations. I asked whether they had had similar problems previously. I was told not. I have just seen six other guests had reported "boiler" problems by searching the reviews. I wonder what I might find by searching "tank". Then one could try translations into various languages.
I do not appreciate being lied to!

Son bou is a fantastic place to stay.
Son bou is a fantastic place to stay. It has something for everyone. There is good restaurants of various food choices. The beach is easy to get to and it’s beautiful. We love the Kitcat Bar as they have entertainment a few evenings a week. They do a Quiz and in high season karaoke. All sports are played on the various TVs. It’s run by a wonderful friendly family and they make you feel very welcome. The food and drink is excellent too.

Food selection both for breakfast and dinner were great!
Food selection both for breakfast and dinner were great!
Hotel has a minibus that takes guests to the beach every half an hour (with a break during the lunch). This is great as the hotel is up the hill, the walk is not too long but can be challenging for some people.
Nearby beach is long and sandy, with options to rent umbrellas and sunbeds. It can be busy at times. Waves are often high, so swimming can be challenging.
There are a couple of restaurants near the beach, with reasonably priced decent food, in case you wish to dine out, but the hotel restaurant is much better.
There is a bus stop near the beach where you can get the bus to go to towns across the island, some direct and some with change. Buses don't go often, and there are very few of them on Sundays, so plan things ahead if you wish to venture out.
Daily boat trips on the island are often sold out, as there are only a couple of options available on the entire island, so it is recommended to book trips before arriving on the island, as the prices are fixed.
Renting a car can also be challenging, and it is recommended to check options in advance.

The beach was very long and it was easy to find space away from other people if you wanted to. It was end of season though so probably very packed in peak season. We didn’t like the restaurants in the town - we tried three different ones during our stay and the food was decidedly average and overpriced.
It’s unlikely that we would return to Son Bou apart from going to the beach possibly.

Son Bou is a beautiful area with a great beach.
Son Bou is a beautiful area with a great beach. It’s a very clean area and has beautiful weather, even at the start of October we had clear blue skies and 26°c, perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the pool. I recommend staying in Valentin hotel.

A lovely village with beautiful views, a few supermarkets and the odd 'club' but nothing too hectic. Some nice restaurants catering mainly to families. Gorgeous beach and lots of hiking available. Beautiful marshland protected from over-development.
It felt relaxed and friendly.
We used the bakery every day and ate at Allesandros which was excellent.
I was extremely glad that some one called me back when I arrived at the Son Bou Gardens reception office. The reception office was closed at the time. I do not remember the ladies name, but she was very nice and came quickly. She provided me with the keys and gave me a tour of the apartment. I arrived in the off season, so I expected minor problems. I would recommend Son Bou Gardens to other visitors. My advice for over seas visitors, call or send an email before you get there to confirm your reservation to make your arrival more smooth.
The sea view rooms are stunning and I was so glad I chose to pay a little extra for that! The location right on Son Bou beach is amazing, especially if you’re there for a beach holiday - you can just walk over. The staff were also very helpful and kind, for example they will tell you where the bus stop is and give you a timetable if you need. I had a particularly lovely staff member called Aurora who helped me multiple times, so thanks to her! I enjoyed the half board breakfast and found the food to be pleasant.
Host was in contact with us frequently on the day of arrival so it was easy to arrange a time to collect the keys. Nice and private location with lovely sea views. Lots of local shops and restaurants within walking distance. The pool is a good size but quite deep if you have small children. Plenty of sun loungers for a larger family. Handy washing machine and drying area off the kitchen for all your towels. A week wasn't long enough as I wish I could have stayed longer. The sunset beach walks were amazing.
Thr Villa was beautiful, very spacious, clean and had good amenities. Pool was clean, outside area was clean too. The place was also given a mid week clean which was great. Had enough crockery and pots and pans for a self catering holiday. We were also left a welcome pack with tea coffee, wine bottle and breakfast items. That was very thoughtful. Communication before arrival was very efficient and informative. Highly recommend.
Lovely, well equipped apartment & clean. Everything about it was just right. Stunning views. Would definitely go back or to another of Menorca Vacation properties. The staff were very welcoming & helpful, even loaned us a brolly for the beach on the 1st day. Welcome pack in the apartment which on other holidays had to be requested & paid for, so a nice surprise.
There was a mix of hotel rooms and apartments. The breakfast was free and there were free activities throughout the hotel (yoga, pool volleyball, music, etc.). The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. The pool was wonderful and the location was perfect.
This place is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. Amazing views. The breakfast is fantastic. The rooms attractive, comfortable and clean. Such great amenities. The owners are so kind and friendly. The dinner is hands down the best I had in Menorca. I can't recommend this place enough. Stay here!
Tastefully refurbished old property with typical Balearic charm. Two beautiful swimming pools with great views . Surprising amenities , like a ping pong table, a table football and a sauna . Very friendly and attentive staff. Great location , close to Mahon and to Son Bou beach
The view and all the facilities. It has full equipment. The beach is walking distance BUT if you don’t have good condition you need a car or a taxi to get to the apartment. We had a great time, definitely a great location to stay
The house structure and dimension.
Very fresh even without air conditioning (but for 2000 eur week they should install it).
Nice forniture and decoration.
Son bou is a good location as a base in Menorca
We had a lovely family holiday here. The villa is spacious for a family of four. Our little boy loved the private pool and we enjoyed spending a few hours here in between exploring the island.
Lovely setting, well kept gardens outside and area very clean and tidy.Appartment was great for us as a base with a pool with bar/cafe just around the corner -great pizzas 😀
Extremely clean and fully equipped. Comfortable beds and professional staff. The apartment is part of a complex that is really well maintained and close to the beach.
Location, view and staff excellent. the beach is wonderful. small town catered towards tourist. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, made the stay nice.
Management team were very visible and drove extremely high standards throughout. Excellent food, cleanliness, gardens and entertainment (daytime and evening).
