This finca is so well done—delicious bedding, quiet without being boring, attentive staff that show up only when you need them. Breakfast is fantastic. An example of their attention to detail: I said I wanted hard boiled eggs every day and there they were, every single day. This seems like a simple thing, but someone took the time to write it down so that no matter who was working that day, they knew what I liked for breakfast.

This is my second review. We reported a boiler or hot water tank problem at 1.30 am. It woke us and the noise and overheating plug worried us.
In the morning we had to insist to be offered another apartment by central reservations. I asked whether they had had similar problems previously. I was told not. I have just seen six other guests had reported "boiler" problems by searching the reviews. I wonder what I might find by searching "tank". Then one could try translations into various languages.
I do not appreciate being lied to!

Son bou is a fantastic place to stay.
Son bou is a fantastic place to stay. It has something for everyone. There is good restaurants of various food choices. The beach is easy to get to and it’s beautiful. We love the Kitcat Bar as they have entertainment a few evenings a week. They do a Quiz and in high season karaoke. All sports are played on the various TVs. It’s run by a wonderful friendly family and they make you feel very welcome. The food and drink is excellent too.

Food selection both for breakfast and dinner were great!
Food selection both for breakfast and dinner were great!
Hotel has a minibus that takes guests to the beach every half an hour (with a break during the lunch). This is great as the hotel is up the hill, the walk is not too long but can be challenging for some people.
Nearby beach is long and sandy, with options to rent umbrellas and sunbeds. It can be busy at times. Waves are often high, so swimming can be challenging.
There are a couple of restaurants near the beach, with reasonably priced decent food, in case you wish to dine out, but the hotel restaurant is much better.
There is a bus stop near the beach where you can get the bus to go to towns across the island, some direct and some with change. Buses don't go often, and there are very few of them on Sundays, so plan things ahead if you wish to venture out.
Daily boat trips on the island are often sold out, as there are only a couple of options available on the entire island, so it is recommended to book trips before arriving on the island, as the prices are fixed.
Renting a car can also be challenging, and it is recommended to check options in advance.

The beach was very long and it was easy to find space away from other people if you wanted to. It was end of season though so probably very packed in peak season. We didn’t like the restaurants in the town - we tried three different ones during our stay and the food was decidedly average and overpriced.
It’s unlikely that we would return to Son Bou apart from going to the beach possibly.

Son Bou is a beautiful area with a great beach.
Son Bou is a beautiful area with a great beach. It’s a very clean area and has beautiful weather, even at the start of October we had clear blue skies and 26°c, perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the pool. I recommend staying in Valentin hotel.

A lovely village with beautiful views, a few supermarkets and the odd 'club' but nothing too hectic. Some nice restaurants catering mainly to families. Gorgeous beach and lots of hiking available. Beautiful marshland protected from over-development.
It felt relaxed and friendly.
We used the bakery every day and ate at Allesandros which was excellent.
I was extremely glad that some one called me back when I arrived at the Son Bou Gardens reception office. The reception office was closed at the time. I do not remember the ladies name, but she was very nice and came quickly. She provided me with the keys and gave me a tour of the apartment. I arrived in the off season, so I expected minor problems. I would recommend Son Bou Gardens to other visitors. My advice for over seas visitors, call or send an email before you get there to confirm your reservation to make your arrival more smooth.
The apartment was a decent size and seems to have been recently refurbished. It was clean with air con and fully equipped kitchen. The grounds were well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful. Ideal for a family holiday. The resort of Son Bou is not very big, certainly not a mega resort that you would find elsewhere in Spain. There is only one high rise apart-hotel in the resort. Beach is excellent.
very clean property, functional kitchen (no oven though, apart from microwave). Cleaning staff went out of their way to try and visit the room for cleaning at the times when we were either at the beach or when our child was not sleeping (we usually have long naps in the middle of the day). Pool is amazing and had plenty of room even though multiple families were there with their kids at the same time.
Everything! Staff we excellent always there to help. We were able to stay on after check out
Late flight used the downstairs shower facilities. Spotless rooms. Good selection of food. Easy private access to beach was great as my mother inlaw has walking difficulties. Kids loved the pool activities. We also felt very safe walking about the small resort very relaxed ! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Liked everything...very,very clean with good maintenance of grounds...we went all inclusive which was a bargain.
All the staff are very helpful/friendly and really made our stay enjoyable.
Entertainment was generally good for a holiday location.
We suggest hiring a car to cover transfers and allow trips out as it worked out more cost effective.
A great week at a lovely hotel.
The Villa building was lovely, a really nice space, and a cool refuge when the 33 degree heat got a bit too much. The resort of Son Bou has a wonderful beach, and is pretty chilled out and peaceful. During our stay, it felt quiet and relaxing when we hung out at the Villa. Access to the property was efficient and simple, with good communication with the owners.
Nice location with great view on Son Bou beach. The apartaments are well equipped and have everything you need. The beach is about 15 minutes walk, and about 200m there is a supermarket and a very good bakery. Son Bou is very touristic but it is ideal for families or as base for touring the island.
Best "feature" of the hotel the whole staff (reception, bar and restaurant personnel, cleaning maids etc): kind, polite and helpful people. Excellent access to a wonderful beach. Great swimming pools, good animation staff, interesting night shows.
Reception can provide a beach umbrella for free.
The view and all the facilities. It has full equipment. The beach is walking distance BUT if you don’t have good condition you need a car or a taxi to get to the apartment. We had a great time, definitely a great location to stay
we are visiting Valentin Son Bou for the second time.
very nice hotel with good facilities and friendly staff.
especially we like the location close to the one of the
most beautiful beaches with crystal clear water.
Expansive, authentic property beautifully maintained. Charming owners who really want you to have a great experience. I loved the free yoga classes!Convenient location for exploring Menorca.
Location, view and staff excellent. the beach is wonderful. small town catered towards tourist. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, made the stay nice.
The location was great close to the beach and lots of amenities but we have stayed in son bou on a number of occasions so the location was why we chose it.
