The location was perfect. A small village tucked away from the noise of everyday life. The owners are so friendly and make you feel right at home. If you are looking for a quiet family getaway with the kids, this is a perfect choice! We visited some of the neighboring towns as well and were happy to return to our warm and quiet room every time.

This 17th-century country house is located in the mountain village of Darnius, in Catalunya’s Alt Empordà region. Surrounded by farmland, it offers rustic accommodations, home-made jams and cured meats. Can Massot’s lounges have a fireplace and a table tennis table. The property has 2 kitchens which are available for rent. During the summer guests can pick fruit and mushrooms in the grounds. The rooms at Can Massot feature tiled floors and antique furniture. Each one has a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Can Massot has stables with ponies and organizes pony trekking as well as hiking and cycling routes. It also organizes trips to Darnius-Boadella Reservoir, located 3 minutes’ drive away. With easy access from the AP7 Motorway, the property is 20 minutes’ drive from Figueres, home to the Salvador Dalí Museum.
