Excellent location close to nature with the gorgeous Linnunlahti beach very close, but at the same time the city center is just a short bike ride away. Very good facilities (including a private sauna!) and friendly service. They rent out bicycles which is really nice for those without a car.
It was a really good place to stay with kids.

A small town in East Finland that has some good restaurants and local coffee shops but there is not much to do. The town is not touristic and there are not that many places to visit. However, the Botanical gardens are interesting and the Joensuu church is also worth visiting.

Majority of inhabitants in Joensuu goes around by bicycles. I did enjoyed going around by bike. So many nice places to visit. So many good restaurants. It is a good place to visit with a family or group of friends.

There was free coffee and tea available during the day as well as a microwave to heat up your food. Optionally breakfast buffet in the morning for 10€ or 15€, but I didn't use it. Free Laundry room & Biking rental via the reception. Room: Rather big room. Equipped with water cooker, TV, towels etc. Quiet rooms, not noisy at all. Green concept through the whole hotel.
