The garden and pool are lovely, the staff are really friendly and food was good. Our room was very disappointing. It was right next to reception, dark and small. It looked onto the car park and we could hear people coming and going, including a coach party at 7 am on a Sunday. Avoid room 18 and ask for a room away from the car park and you’ll have a good stay

A small, quiet resort without being stuffy. There are lots of good restaurants and there are so many seafood options. We can spend our time freely. Recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing time or walking, hiking as there are rare sightseeing place. It is a favorite town that I like to visit every few years.

Nice uncrowded beach getaway.
Nice uncrowded beach getaway. Good place to base out of as its close to Biarritz and San Sebastien. After visiting most of the Basque Coast St. Jean de Luz was nice place to come back to as it was a very relaxed atmosphere. The town had very nice shops and an attractive square with dining all around.

I have stayed here before which is why I chose to stay here...
I have stayed here before which is why I chose to stay here this time. the hotel is immaculatly clean, has plenty of free parking onsite and is pet friendly, although that was not a requirement for me on this trip.
The gentleman on the reception was friendly and helpful, My limited French was matched by his limited English but we managed to understand eachother with good humour thrown in.
The hotel offers a modest selection of choices for breakfast and is perfectly adequate for most peoples needs, if you need snacks there is a vending machine in the foyer that has hot & cold drinks as well as sweets, biscuits and crisps. My room was very clean and comfortable, it had plenty of wall sockets for using or charging electricals, my only small criticism would be that the lighting was a little dim which made some tasks a little difficult that required more light but this should not really impact on most guests. The hotel although close to a busy road did not suffer from any road noise at all, the bed and bedding was comfortable and warm, the room had an AC and inverter unit but it was not necessary for me to use it so cannot comment on how good it is. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I would always choose to use it whenever Im passing through on this route, it offers very good value for money in my opinion

We were greeted by Celine who was very welcoming. She spoke exceptional English and gave us lots of information about the surrounding area.
The accommodation itself is basic but in a good location, right next to the Centre and near the beach. Parking is available with some free spaces at the front. We were lucky enough to get one.
The apartment felt like a hostel, very basic. We had to make up all our beds and strip them down upon departure. It was not overly clean and the kitchen facilities were limited.
I wouldn't stay here again.
Lovely hotel! Just 25 rooms or so. Very personal service from the friendly staff! Of course there's the golf course, but we came for a family stay and used the hotel als the starting point for visiting San Sebastian, Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Even Bilbao is sort of close. Coming back, simply plunge in the pool and enjoy a drink. Great breakfast buffet! Nice terrace for a drink and some tapas. Rooms have every thing you need.
Everything went very well. The hotel was amazing and in a beautiful location with walks close to within site of the beach.
Secure and plentiful parking was a bonus and the breakfast was amazing.
Also you receive a 15% 0ff voucher which we used at the grill restaurant a very short walk from the hotel.
We could not fault this hotel in any way at all.
I was super welcomed. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent ! I was happy to be guest in Hotel Grande de la Poste. For someone passing by car for business it's a great alternative to stay out of Biarritz. Besides Saint-Jean-de-Luz is also a lovely super French town on the Atlantique Coast :))))) Merci e a la prochaine !
the gentleman who checked me in during an intense rain storm was so kind. I was lost, soaked, very hungry and tired, and speak virtually no French. He brought me a pre-made dinner on a tray, and honestly it was the best meal I had in this town.
I liked the hotel so much that when my travel plans changed I came back and stayed another night.
Great location. Very clean comfortable beds. Very helpful and responsive staff spoke English, French and Spanish. Parking very close by for 20 euros a night. Hôtel was very flexible with a late check out which we very much appreciated. Thank you! Looking forward to returning.
The owners of the hotel were great. The Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, great coffee. Don’t miss the traditional Basque cake. Perfect location to explore. Garage Parking nearby. Comfortable bed. Honestly, couldn’t ask for more!!!! Perfect
Excellent location - near town center and right in front of train and bus station which will make your day trips super convenient. Visit Bayonne, Biarritz, and all towns near SJDL. Hotel Manager Tomas and the staff friendly and accomodating.
Hotel location beside the train station and close to the town centre and beach was the main reason why we stayed here.
Room was comfortable and breakfast was just what we needed to start the day.
WiFi was included which was a bonus.
Loved the outdoor terrace. Very clean room and hotel in general. The proprietress was very attentive and welcoming (and constantly working!). Breakfast served on our terrace every morning was very nice.
Lovely, grand hotel right on the beach! The spa was amazing with fantastic views of the beach and the bar out on the back deck was lovely for a pre-dinner drink! Would definitely recommend
A small but perfectly formed hotel. Beautifully presented rooms, friendly staff, very close to the beach and the town centre. Only stayed the one night, but would happily go back.
The hotel is well situated in a quiet area less than 10min walk from the beach, and has free street parking. The restaurant downstairs had a great local vibe at night.
Free parking, room was clean and good size, ideal hotel for stopover from France to Spain everything was good, don't normally stay in campanile but this is a good one.
This boutique hotel was beautiful. The views from our room were exceptional. The location was a stones throw to walks, beach and local shops, bars and restaurants.
Nice boutique hotel, only 2 blocks from the ocean and convenient to shops and restaurants. Comfortable, small rooms with nice bathrooms.
Staff very helpful.
