How do a Dutch woman and an English man end up in France? After our professional journeys in Holland, the UK, Prague and Copenhagen we decided to settle in France. In search of a life of sunshine, space, nature and good food and wine. And we haven't had any regrets since. Our 2 boys were born in France and feel more French than anything else. Our gîtes and chambres d'hôtes keep us pretty busy in summer but during the rest of the year we entertain ourselves otherwise: Chris is always looking for new projects on the house and that usually keeps him going through winter and Els occupies herself by teaching yoga every morning of the week.

Families like the property because it is safe for the children to play here. You don't have to worry about them running onto the road and cars passing by. There is lots of space, outside and inside. The pool has a nice shallow area for the little ones to play in. Parents have told us that their children sleep so well here, probably because of the quietness of the place. No traffic in the background to wake the babies up. Anyhow, please check the reviews to see why families like it here. In the area there are enough things to do for children as well. Most kids like castles because it makes them think of knights and princesses. And taking the kids out for a meal to a evening food market is so relaxing. Take the kids out for a meal and they don't have to sit still the whole evening. At 10 km from us is a nice lake with sandy beach, great for a day out. Bring a picnic or go for a meal in the restaurant on the beach.
